I was SO disappointed with this eyeliner. I was looking for a long-lasting eyeliner and this did fill the bill... for about 3 months. Then, the gel eyeliner in the jar started drying out. I'd put on and the formula was so dried out it left clumps on my cheek and into my contacts. AWFUL! I contacted Smashbox and they told me they couldn't guarantee the eyeliner wouldn't dry out - I just had to make sure I closed the jar tightly after use (which I did). They told me to send to them and they'd exchange for a new jar. The new jar lasted 5 months before the same problem of drying/clumping happened. For the price, definitely not worth it - in 5 months, barely used up a quarter of the product before it was unusable! Try Bobby Brown's gel eyeliner - FAR SUPERIOR!

I've been using this Smashbox product for YEARS. I actually "borrowed" from my mom when she first bought it, and I have been using it ever since. It may seem a little bit pricy, but it lasts forever. The only reason I bought my second one is because I stepped on the cap of the first one and it broke, and I didn't want something that goes on my eyes exposed to germs/other makeup. I apply with Smashbox's flat eyeliner brush. I wet the brush a little bit, put a small amount of product and apply. A little bit really does go a long way, and it doesn't travel or budge from where I apply it. The only con I would say is that it doesn't seem to apply too well to the waterline if you like eyeliner there. When I do a smoky eye, I usually use an eyeliner pencil for the waterline and smudge the gel eyeliner in between the lashes to help "hold" it in place. I really love this product--highly recommend!

I bought this in my search for an easy, stay put eyeliner (the perfect one...) And I must say, this is one of my favorites for a more dramatic look.  Not good for everyday (at least for my work as a nurse) but great for days off or going out at night.  It is easy and stays fairly well, just not for a full 12 hour day.  I will buy again because it is super easy to apply and I do love how it looks, but continue tmy search for the perfect eyeliner...
