Before this product, I tried several makeup primers below:
but nothing beats the result that I get from Smashbox Photo Finish SPF15 With Dermaxyl Complex. The light version of this primer from Smashbox claims that it is for oily skin, but after trying both the light and this one, I am definitely convinced that the latter is a lot better for my oily skin. Makeup glides on smoothly over this product without the heavy feel, my face is not oily for the whole day, and I do not get any breakout from using this. Lastly, I like the idea of having a sunscreen protection in it so that I can skip my sunblock and jump straight to my makeup.
MAC Prep + Prime Skin has silicone elements that helps fill in skin imperfections and large pores but my makeup doesn't last long. If you need to fill in something, Smashbox Photo Finish SPF15 with Dermaxyl also does the job.
Guerlain Divinora Pure Radiance for me is a total waste of money. It is very expensive since it has gold as one of its ingredients that they say will give you a glow. I think this product is for extraordinary women with the super flawless skin already.
Bare Escentuals Prime Time did not do anything for me.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light is truly a light formula, makes my skin look good, but does not keep my face from being oily for the entire day unlike this one with SPF 15 and Dermaxyl complex.
Of course, what works best for me may not work for everyone, but I think listing down the primers I tried before can give you an idea or may help you in finding the one that will suit you best.
