As I picked this WeightWatchers "Bistro Selection" up at the latest sale, I must say that I didn't expect much.  "How big could a pizza be if it only has 360 calories?" I figured, as I stood there in Dominick's, staring suspiciously into the freezer compartment.  Well, the answer to that I would discover is "You'd be surprised."  This "Smart Ones Four Cheese Pizza" is between six and seven inches wide and about a third of an inch thick.  As the package label promises, the crust is loaded with Mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheeses with Italian herbs all cradled in a lovely red sauce.  The crust was crisp on the outside but soft enough to bite into easily, which is an important point in my book.

STATS:

Surprisingly, this entire pizza is considered to be a single serving which contains 360 calories with 60 calories from fat.  There are seven grams total fat, two and a half grams saturated fat, zero trans fat, one and a half grams polyunsaturated fat, two grams monounsaturated fat, 10 mg. cholesterol, 670 mg. sodium, 55 grams total carbs, four grams dietary fiber, nine grams sugars, and 19 grams protein.  Vitamins and minerals include 10% (D.V.) each Vitamin A and Iron, 4% Vitamin C, and 25% Calcium.

TASTE TIP:

Like most cheese pizzas, Smart Ones Four Cheese Pizza has great possibilities.  My own experience with this was not without the adverse traumatic moment when I discovered that I was out of black olives and it was too late to run to the store for more but there are really a lot of things you could use to enhance this pizza without compromising its health value ... a little frozen chopped spinach, slices of tomato or red onions, or fresh mushrooms along with (if you prefer) a couple shakes of garlic powder.  I paired my Smart Ones Four Cheese Pizza with a small green salad from 7/11.  My beverage choice was easy -- Simply Apple Juice was made for moments like this.

I buy plain cheese pizzas and add Morning Star Farms Recipe Crumbles and green olives.
