I have battled weight loss all my life. I am not alone, there are millions like me, hence the weight loss product industry with promises of amazing results. Believe me, there is not one product out there that will give you results without you also making changes. This I learned after many, many purchases of diet products. When all was said and done, I did finally realize that Slim Fast could at least help me replace bad snacks with healthier ones. When I want a snack or need something to make a quick and easy meal that will satisfy I reach for Slim-Fast powder to mix up a quick and tasty shake. I keep various flavors on hand to give me a variety so I don't get bored with it, and when the season makes them available I also keep various fruits to add. Here's another tip: when I don't have natural fruit to flavor my shakes, I use one of the many water flavoring packets that are on the supermarket shelves these days. I also use soy or almond milk to mix it up. The shakes are a great way to achieve a low calorie, yet vitamin packed meal replacement. I recommend it for anyone who want to take a step towards changing bad eating habits and work toward a healthier body weight.

I have nothing negative to say about Slim-Fast Optima and regular powdered drinks. They are great substitutes for meals when I am busy, when I need to lose weight, and when I want to get the nutrients that I need to fuel me for the day. While on this eating plan, which requires two meals be the shakes from the powder, I do lose weight and am very happy about that and the convenience of it all.

I have to give Slim-Fast Optima Powder Drinks a 7/10. The reason it gets a middle grade review is because it tastes great, but didn't work! I found that every single flavor I tried had a great flavor, but it never curbed my hunger. I did not lose much weight on the Slim-Fast diet because I was eating just as much but adding a bunch more calories from these drinks! They remind me of the Carnation Instant Breakfast Drinks. I recommend them taste wise, but not if you're trying to lose weight!

I use Slim fast Optima as an ingredient when making smoothies. In other words, I do not follow Slim Fast's suggested diet plan. I like to use the vanilla flavor when making fruit smoothies (1 c ff milk, 1/2 c frozen fruit, 1/4 cup Orange Juice, 1/2 scoop Slim Fast). The chocolate is really good for making peanut butter smoothies (1 c ff milk, 1 T Peanut butter, 1 frozen banana, 1 scoop Slim Fast). The smoothies are high in protein so they are great for breakfast and as an energy booster for working out. Slimfast Optima does contain a lot of sugar; that is probably why it tastes good. But I wish it had less sugar. The powder helps add body to my smoothies and since it the powder is loaded with sugar, my smoothies taste sweet so I don't have to add any additional sweeteners. Slim Fast seems to be a quality product that is affordable and available at many convenient retail locations. It is a great addition to smoothies!

This is an okay powder to use. I do not think it is the best choice as I have found that I need to add more liquid than is recommended. I did realize that adding milk and then the powder mixing that and then adding more milk is the way to go. It seems like if I add the powder first it ends up stuck to the bottom of the glass, if I add the milk first the powder does not mix well. The flavors are not the best either. I wish they would come up with some other flavors. It is an easy product to use and to measure out is pretty easy. It does satisfy my hunger moreso than the mixed cans. The only thing is I am on the go a lot and the cans are much easier to take with me when I am on the go. The nice thing is I do not have to cook a meal as these replace the meal. The bad thing is they do not always fill me up. Sometimes they just tide me over. I think I am one of those people who have to have solid foods! I can not live on liquid alone!

I have used Slim Fast mixes on and off for many years. I now use the Optima Chocolate Royale. I love the taste of this. I was on Prednisone for over 4 years for Rheumatoid Arthritis, which caused me to gain over 70 pounds. I looked and felt like a marshmallow. This is a miracle drug but also a menace to weight problems. While taking a full year to get weaned off this medication I started to lose some weight but it was so slow, I decided to try the Slim Fast again. I have now lost 65 pounds and still going. I am so happy to have finally gotten it back off and will continue to use the Slim Fast to lose more. It worked for me I hope it works as good for someone else.

This product is great for me for breakfast.  I must start by saying I do not use slimfast exactly as intended for weight loss purposes.  I work full time, am in graduate school for my MSW and have a 20 hour per week internship so I am constantly in a rush.  Every morning I would rush to Dunkin Donuts and purchase a coffee and a donut, since that was all I had time for.  When I discovered this SlimFast product I was a happy girl.  I was saving money and my health.  The shakes are so filling that I am not hungry between breakfast and lunch like I used to be.  I like to try new products, but when it comes to tastes and flavors, I tend to stick to one.  With that being said, I have only used the vanilla flavor, but I love it!  It also forces me to drink more milk, which I certainly didn't do enough of before!

 **Slim-Fast - Optima is one of the best weight loss products that they have to offer. The powder form makes it even more economical because you prepare it yourself. I like to put mine in a blender with ice and a banana half. It is very low calorie and it WILL curb your appetite for many hours. The skakes usually make me so full that I have a hard time finishing one up. I have used Slim Fast products for many years now. They always seem to work for me. If you feel that you are hungry in between shakes, they offer many healthy, low calorie snacks as well. What a great way to jump start your weight loss without starving yourself. I reccomend the cans if you are on the go. They have become so popular that some gas stations have them in the refrigerator section now! How convinient? Slim Fast is a bit pricier than the store brand but I feel that it iis worth it to purchase the real thing. Especially with a company with as good of a reputation that Slim Fast has.**
