I purchased the Sleep Number bed after a neck injury which left me in chronic pain in the shoulders and neck.  I purchased a regular pillowtop mattress which after a couple of weeks developed an indent where I usually sleep.  As I needed to be able to move more freely this became a problem.  My shoulders and neck were so painful that I could not sleep in the bed so I literally sat in a chair and was awake most of the night until they replaced it with another brand, which had the same problem.  It just wasn't working and I needed to sleep!  I finally got a refund and headed over to the mall...
