I used to see the sleep number bed commercials all of the time. When my mattress started to make my back hurt, I thought I would shop around. I also knew a couple of people that bought a sleep number bed and I asked them about it. I decided to go to the mattress store and laid on several mattresses for a while. My husband and I bought a sleep number bed set about 8 years ago. I absolutely love this bed and have recommended it to many people including my daughter who recently bought a new sleep number bed for her and her husband. I definately sleep better on this bed. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis which makes it difficult to sleep anyway due to the constant pain. My husband has never slept better and I assure you both of out 60 plus pound dogs love to get a nap on it whenever they can. The sleep number is a fantastic mattress. We bought the most expensive regular mattress before and it didn't last as they said. My mother in law had one of these and after we slept in it a couple times we just had to have it.

My husband loves a softer mattress. I don't so we can adjust however we please. Also, when I was pregnant (we bought it right when so it would be helpful) it was just great. I kept adjusting it as I got bigger and I never had to use one of those long pregnancy pillows they recommend to sleep better. I could even sleep on my belly almost until the last months!

I am disabled with an EXTREMELY bad back. There were days I couldn't even get out of bed then I bought a Sleep Number bed. What a surprise!!!! I had been told they were comfortable and I had seen plenty of ads for it and heard the testimonials but WHO KNEW!!!! I have learned in the past NOT to believe those people on those infomercials but this time they called it right. My back feels so much better and with the dual controls I can adjust mine the way I like it and I don't have to keep my husband from being comfortable. I have tried other beds but this one is truly worth the money!!! GOOD JOB SLEEP...

We used to have a floatqtion water bed, but it was too difficult for us to adjust the amount of water on each side so that we each had the degree of firmness we preferred.  Then, we got the Select Comfort bed and our problems were solved!  We have a platform, so we didn't even buy the base, just the mattress and it works just fine.  We've had ours over 10 years and are still just as happy with it.  We got a set for our guest room and as a result, have converted quite a few friends who visited.
