My husband and I enjoy our queen sized Sleep Number bed. We have always had trouble with agreeing on mattress firmness. Now we can customize it at the touch of a button.
The mattress is constructed so that there are two sides that can independently be inflated/deflated to individual comfort by a simple push of a button. No more rolling into the other person or sleeping on a mattress that is too hard or too soft.
We bought an optional feather down mattress cover which is quite comfortable and machine washable. You will need deep pocket sheets for the mattress. Sleep Number had a variety of these available or you can just make sure you are purchasing deep pocket fitted sheets.
There is one problem we have had and that is with the valve for the one side. We have had to replace it twice. It may have more to do with our bed frame which we had when we bought it. Although the Sleep Number mattress easily fits in it, the fit is probably not as good as it would be with a slightly different configuration.
As far as a replacement part, the customer service people were able to offer temporary fix advice until the part arrived which was within 3 days of our call. The service was courteous and fast.
