I fell for it. Sleeping on air. While it's likely true that you don't suffer all of the "pressure points" of a traditional spring mattress, I don't find that I sleep any better! In fact, my partner sleeps worse in the Sleep Number!
I wake up with fatigued muscles. I toss and turn half the night away.
I adjust the bed several times as directed. Still, I don't find the right number that works for me every time. There are even times when I adjust my side of the bed and the compressor seems like it gets stuck in a increase/decrease cycle. Pumps more air in, lets more air out, pumps more, releases more...it will continue to do that until I change the number.
The pillowtop has a tear in it and I would like to replace it but there's nowhere to call that I've found where I can purchase just the pillowtop. I've made several calls, unless I want to purchase a new Select Comfort, no one helps.
I now have a TempurPedic memory foam topper on my Sleep Number.
