Most HelpfulREAD THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A SLEEP NUMBER BED!! My husband and I have owned one since 2004. The last few months I have become ill with constant sinus problems and severe allergy symptoms. So severe that it has affected my ability to work at times and I have had to miss work as a result. My husband...
review »we slept on a regular mattress and woke up stiff and sore every day. so, we thought we would go out and spend $900 on a sealy pillowtop mattress set. it said 10 year warranty so we thought we couldn't go wrong! two years everything was great. then we were waking up sore and stiff again. flipping the mattress didn't help and eventually something broke inside (supposedly it doesn't have springs which is supposed to be the big difference) and the entire middle of the mattress caved like a sink hole. we tried the ten year warranty but that didn't work out either.
that is a whole other...
review »My husband and I enjoy our bed so much we are going to get them for our Children. We bought ours because friends of ours bought theirs about 13 years ago and they told us its like sleeping on a new mattress every night. I was doubtful because I knew how our old mattress felt. The one I had before the last one I slept on for about 25 years. Then we decided to get a whole new bedroom suit complete with new mattress. It felt good for about 2 years. Then came the turning it over and upside down and putting a piece of plywood under it to maybe make it a bit firmer... You know that didnt work. ...
review »Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed--7000 series.
One thing you must know BEFORE you purchase a Sleep Number Bed (SNB) is there is NO REPAIR SERVICE if something goes wrong with your bed. If something breaks they will send you the part(s) but you have to make the repair yourself. I own a King size SNB. Even before you get any new parts YOU have to diagnose the problem by crawling under your bed and troubleshooting. If you are disabled like I am and no one else in the household to do this for you that is difficult. I called the home office in Minniapolis (Bill McGlaughlin is the CEO) and...
review »My husband and I had thought a researched the sleep number bed for sometime and finally decided to purchase one. The setup was a little extensive, but not too difficult. We had the matress for barely a year and got rid of it. We both laid in the bed and set our numbers, but when one of us got out of bed the other would roll to the middle of the bed. Also, because this is just like an air matress you can fell every move the other person makes, my husband is not a light sleeper and he would be woken when I moved. I started sleeping on the matress during a pregnancy and had to finish the...
review »My husband and I tried many beds in stores before we settled on the Select Comfort. Many family members have one and raved about theirs. We however can not "rave" about it. We each have had difficulty setting it to the number where we wake up in the morning and say "Yep, this was definitely worth the money". Actually we ended up buying a 4 inch Tempurpedic like (Serta brand though) mattress to put on top and have found that is how we are both the most comfortable. Maybe we would have been happier with the highest end model.
