We bought the Select Comfort Sleep Number (best one in the store) in January spending nearly $9,000. Now in Sept, the sides are sagging offering little support causing sliding to edge of bed. We were told by customer service that we could buy supports for the mattress but that compression of the foam was normal wear and tear. It is obvious that sagging side fallure is common since they offer a support fix. When we asked to have a technican come and look at the problem they said that this would not fall under the warranty and that a device could be purchased for this common issue. My husband sleeps on the failing side and is only a 150 pounds. The representative said that we should have read our warranty more carefully before we bought it. SInce at the time of sale we were told we had a two year warranty with full coverage, we didn't expect to run into an issue like this. Obviously, their foam supports are low quality. They claim it is not a manufacturing defect but normal compression. Obviously it is poor quality to begin with. Not at all impressed by the product or a company disinterested in standing behind their product. You can buy any number of mattresses for less money and find a better product. I was so frustrated after dealing with them, I vowed to let anyone and everyone how poor their product is. When you are shown the main warranty, it looks as though you are covered. A product is only as good as the company that does or does not stand behind it. I guess this is just another indicator about the lack of integrity in today's world.
