I bought two sleep number beds last year because I didn't know how hard a mattress I wanted and I figured these beds would allow me to change my mind on firmness. I didn't realize that they were really only more expensive air mattresses. Also, the foundations are made of plastic, though the price doesn't reflect that. After just a year the legs on the foundation buckled and while they did replace the leg free of charge I had to wait over a week for a new one as the local stores don't carry replacement parts. When I said I would drive anywhere in a 100 mile radius because I didn't want to be without a bed for so long, they told me the nearest supply house was in Utah (I live in NY). When I finally got the leg in came in a beaten up box with a hole in it and no wrapping on the leg (not even a plastic bag). I was supposed to return the damaged leg in the same box, but it was unuseable. The replacement leg was all cut/scuffed up so I had to wait another week for a replacement for the replacement. Again, for the price of these beds, its just not worth it.
