Last weekend, I took a road trip to Arlington, TX to see a Texas Rangers game. While there, I stayed at the Sleep Inn Maingate Six Flags. As the name implies, and as a couple of my pictures show, the hotel is pretty much in the shadow of Six Flags. It's also about a mile from the Texas Rangers' stadium and just a bit farther from the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a very friendly staff. I can't begin to tell you how much that means to me. A friendly staff can make up for a lot of shortcomings.

review »Spending the Thanksgiving weekend in Dallas/Ft. Worth first on Business, and then for a few days celebrating our anniversary. We found Sleep Inn, while looking for a convenient hotel close to Six Flags where we could walk to Holiday in the Park and avoid a $15 parking fee.
What we found was a small, cozy room with comfortable beds, free WIFI and satellite television. A roomy stand-up shower graces the bathroom, with an adjustable message showerhead with 6 different choices on water pressure.
