I was quite suprised at how well the earbuds actually keep out outside noise. I have had a horrible time trying to find headphones that fit in my ears, don't fall out and don't hurt after ten minutes. I have tried the around the ear type, traditional ones, around the back of the head and just about every earbud ont he market. This was the first pair that was comfortable, which would've been enough for me, but the sound quality is excellent as well. These earbuds from skullcandy are great. They were only $14.99 but the sound quality is excellent. They have better sound quality than the earbuds that come with the ipod. They come in different colors too. They come with three sets of different sized rubber tips to customize the fit, kind of like a stethescope does.
