I used to use the Hesh headphones a lot. I really liked them because of the "over-the-ear" design with cushions. I never used and abused them, only to listen to music while riding the subway. They were comfortable, as they cushioned my ears and top of head when using them with my iPhone. Plus the ability to pause/play music with a push of a button was very convenient. And the large size of the headphones allowed me to not be bothered. It's hard to wonder if someone is listening to music with these on (I don't like be bothered during my morning and afternoon commute). However the pros end there, as these are prone to break. The Hesh headphones are flimsy in the area where the top and the sliding part of the ear piece meet. I've had the unfortunate ability to use the lifetime warranty of Skullcandy products more than once, since the headphones have snapped multiple times. The plastic is not a durable material, and I'm not using them in a way that they would expect to be abused. I was not running or doing anything athletic - just using them on a daily commute. Overall, while they were nice and cost less than I expected, the durability of this product leaves more headaches than enjoyment.

I have been a huge fan of Skull Candy for many years now, I have to say in terms of blocking out outside sound it does extremely well, but on the downside many people on the outside can probably hear every word in the song thats playing on your head phones. In terms of durability I find that one side may short out on you and they are fragile. They definitely have a nice look and are light weight though. To anyone looking for great headphones that arent just good but durable, I recommend spending around the same amount on a pair of Sennheisers. I have the sennheiser HD 202s but am looking to upgrade for a better look which costs more and unliek other products that may cost more they also keep the same good sound quality.

The hesh headphones by SkullCandy are pretty awesome but they do have a few flaws.  First off they look pretty cool.  Especially the red, green, and yellow ones. Also the black ones are pretty neat.  The sound qaulity from these headphones is pretty good but not the best i've ever heard.  It seems like the bass get a bit scratchy but as long as you don't blast the music it shouldn't be too terrible.  These headphones also aren't very comfortable.  They don't really engulf your whole ear like over over the ear headphones do.  This can make them pretty uncomfortable when you have them on for long periods of time.  They do adjust to fit all sorts of different sized heads as well which is always nice in case you're wearing a hat or something.  These headphones are good to snowboard with though because they are pretty durable and can take quite a beating.  If you do happen to break them they are pretty inexpensive.

I got these headphones a while back because i was looking to get a pair of actual headphones as opposed to the earbuds i had been using. The difference between the two products absolutely blew me away. The full headset ones have noticeably better quality. One thing about the hesh headphones is that they get loud. Very loud. I have mine hooked up to a headphone amplifier to get an extra bass kick when im listening to music and playing games and it makes them sound great. They even rumble and vibrate if the song has enough kick to it. I love it. I use these headphones for everything now. They have replaced all the pairs of earbuds that i own and I dont plan on going back. They are a great pair of beginner headphones for someone looking to convert from earbuds to a pair of full size headphones. Sound is pretty decent. They're no sennheisers but you cant really expect that for the price. All in all i would recommend them for someone looking to start using over the head headphones.

Well i got Skullcandy Hesh headphones 4 months ago with the little money i had left and at first it was great sound quality was nice. OK, 2 months into buying it they break because i had stretched out the plastic on my head which is of decent size but the plastic broke ... they still work they just hang there and cant use them. Also, i think their way to big carrying it around was a nuisance around the neck didn't work too well hurt my neck after a while. biggest problem was it breaking so easily i just stretched it to fit my head and snap. I mean c'mon my heads not even that big. i recommend the smaller ones way better don't break easier to carry and they don't cause neck problems and they don't break as easily. They knock out sound pretty well even without playing music but if you want that go get some Bose. Skullcandy is hardcore love their quality sound reproduction. the ones i bought came with a bandanna, i used it to cover my chair looks pimp.

These headphones were great when I just got them. They looked really good. The sound is pretty good, who needs noise- cancelling headphones when they can wear these? They blast music into you ears! I really like the style, it fit my personality great but if you leave it on too long, you ears will start to hurt, not from the music but from the headphones themselves. The headphones do fit around the neck but it can be uncomfortable especially if you have big or thicker necks than most other people, so that's on con for this item. Something else that is not so great about these skullcandy headphones is that they break pretty easily. I was too lazy to take them off one time and i decided to play basketball. After the pick-up game, the left side of the headphones snapped in half. i guess it was not too smart of me to play sports in them but just warning all sports fanatics: do not play sports in these. Other than that these are pretty good.

Skullcandy Hesh Headphones are great. They have fantastic sound quality. They come with a volume control on them so you can adjust the volume with out turning on your mp3 player. You can turn the volume all the way up and use them as a set of speakers if you want to. The down side to these headphones is that they are a bit bulky and harder to travel with. They don't fold up at all. But other than that they are superb headphones. They are pretty comfortable but during long trips or use they can become just the opposite and leave you adjusting them every minute or two. You can also get a headache after about 30 minutes or so of listening to music above the middle volume setting. So I would advise any one about to purchase them to remember to listen responsibly. These headphones are some of the best headphones I have purchased in a while and are very loud if you want them to be. Good for loud style music and for when you really want to jam out when no one is looking.

There a great gift idea for you kids or grand kids they have nice sound no popping or feedback and blocks most to all outside noise. I've always heard good things about Skullcandy headphones and I've seen many people wearing them around my college campus. A lot of people seem to use them as more of an accessory and just wear them around their necks constantly. I received these headphones as a gift and was pretty excited but I soon lost all interest. I would describe the sound quality as mediocre and I don't think that is being harsh. I have a pair of cheap headphones I got with a Philips personal cd player in 2000 and they honestly still sound better than the Skullcandy headphones (though they don't look as "cool") The Skullcandy headphones are not clear, not crisp, have very sloppy sounding bass and have a constant hissing sound. I feel like I'm listening to a cassette tape rather than an MP3. Also, they are very large and heavy, not at all convenient to travel with. I suppose the kids at school wear them on their neck because there's really nothing else you can do with them. They're bulky and annoying on the neck too. The only reason I give this product 3 stars is because they are durable. They do serve their purpose, but if you're expecting a revolutionary sound experience, you've been mislead. I'd rather have any brand over this.

I bought these 2 years ago, and they were the best headphones I ever had. They are comfortable, fit nice around my head, and doesn't give me a headache like the other headphones I've used. They keep my ears nice and cozy, and I actually got so used to having them on, that I would wear them even without listening to music. It has great noise reduction, I easily block out nagging parents and coworkers, and the sound is really loud. You could even turn the volume all the way up on your player and use the headphones as external speakers if you wanted. It has a real crisp sound. It is easy to clean. They are extremly durable. I'm pretty careless with things and I have stuffed them in a bulky purse, I tend to throw them off my head onto a table, I even stepped on the band a couple times. And they were not damaged at all. Unfortunately I left them lying around and my dog used it as a chew toy, so I am going to purchase another. You can't fiind a better pair for this price.
