I got these to replace my Sony headphones. My biggest issue with headphones is durability, I always end up blowing them out or they get worn out in general. Skullcandy is a pretty great brand, and so far I've had good luck with these. Although they provide GREAT sound quality and support- they are on the less expensive side- a high luxury version would be the Skullcandy Navigators. Sound Quality With volume control and push-play mic, these headphones are designed for Apple products. The controls are streamlined and simple, making it easier to keep your hands free and your iDevice in your pockets or purse. The headphones also act as a microphone, serving well for usage on laptops in crowded areas, for business conferences enroute or in loud coffee shops. Besides the ability to control your music, the headphones provide a strong quality noise reduction, ensuring that you'll only hear what you want to. Comfort These headphones are like the classic over-the-ear headphones, so it's mostly down to personal preference.I really like them,I just wish the adjust-ability gauge was wider Design Aesthetically, they're not beautiful, but otherwise, not much wrong. Durability My Sony headphones lasted a good 18 months, I've not had these nearly as long, but they're holding up just as well.

If you know me, you know that I'm not part of the likely demographic being targeted by Skull Candy. Sure I've bought several pair of their buds when they're available at deep discount for my teenage daughter and even my own use. But, when I bought them I bought them because they were cheap, not because there is anything about their performance that was worth noting. So when my older daughter who's involved in the entertainment industry offered me a pair of Skull Candy RocNation Aviator Headphones I almost said never mind before actually getting a look at or a listen from these most un-Skull Candy-like headphones. Cutting to the chase, I'm finding I like these headphones more and more. Everything from their iconic Ray Ban aviator styling to their sound performance is growing on me. With the Aviators I can say that it appears that Skull Candy has grown up some. Sound Quality Skull Candy RocNation Aviator Headphones offer near-studio sound performance. Some may like that, others not so much. The music is clear and pretty much unadorned. Unlike headphones from Beats Audio and others there is nothing coloring the bass, mids or treble. The sound is crystal clear. Comfort The Skull Candy RocNation Aviator Headphones are exceptionally comfortable to wear. Thinking back to my legacy Sennheiser Studio Headphones, I find I can wear these for much longer periods without the slightest discomfort. Design If somewhat understated good looks appeals to you then look no further. I know, the name Skull Candy and understated have probably never been seen in the same sentence, but trust me here. These retro-styled headphones are stunners and shouldn't be avoided by adults. Durability With Skull Candy, durability is always a question mark. Maybe not even a question mark. In the past durability played back seat to garish styling. The Skull Candy RocNation Aviator Headphones look like they're built for the long haul, but we'll have to see. I'm certainly going to enjoy them while I have them.
