I have a 15 year old daughter and she is up to date with technology and is always listening or playing on her ipod touch or touch phone.  Every time I turned around she was asking if I had an extra set of headphones.  This went on for months.  I bought her cheap headphones and middle of the road headphones and expensive headphones and they were either uncomfortable or the sound quality was bad or they would just fall to pieces (especially the cheap cheap ones).  One day we were in the mall and of course she needed new headphones so we stopped by a music store and picked up a pair of Skullcandy headphones.  My daughter picked a pair of pink Skullcandy headphones, she loved the design and the fit right away.  Everytime I saw her she had on the cute pink Skullcandy headphones in her ears.  When I asked my daughter how she liked headphones she said they were awesome.  Her boyfriend even asked if he could borrow them (keeping in mind they are pink) and she didn't want to share them.  She has had these headphone longer than any other ones I have purchased in the past.

I love my ear buds!

5

I love, love, love, my ear buds from Skull Candy. I like that they are ppink, my favorite color, but most importantly, they fit in my ear without ever falling out like the others that I have had in the past. The sound quality is great and they actually block out so much of the outside distracting noise that I always seem to hear with other styles of earphones. I like theses so much that I now buy them for all of my friends, last year I bought them for my sisterfor here birthday. She also loves them. I am not sure,, but in my humble opinion, I do not think that you can find a better quality product in this price range. I know that there are other products that claim to be higher quality, like Bose, but for me, my money has been very well spent on the Skull Candy buds. As for cons, like all other earphones, the cord does tangle up because when I am not using them I just shove them into my bag, but that is not a design or quality flaw, just me being hasty. The only thing I wish I could get are more of those little ear cushion thingys, in different colors would be kinds nice so I could trick them out how ever I want.

Skullcandy rulez!

4

I bought the Skullcandy ear buds for use on my iPod Touch 3G. I had never bought Skullcandy ear buds before however the they were on sale at my local target. The Skullcandy ear buds had the greatest looks out of the selection. That was one of the benefits of the ear buds, the great stylist almost new agist look of the ear buds. The ear buds have a full metal jacket which sounds like it may be part of an high powered bullet or something. However the real meaning is that it has a great metal look that holds up over heavy use. The sound quality from the Skullcandy ear buds is great. I would recommend the use of these ear buds over more pricy ear buds that offer little improvement in sound quality.

Work but Ugly

4

I got these as a gift and my first impression was that they were ugly!!! For a business women riding the metro each day I want to keep up with appearances. Regardless, they did what they said they would do. The provide fresh clean sound without leakage. I can turn up the volume at high levels and not be disturb people around me. Also the design holds them in your ears. I have small ear lobes and with headphones I have bought in the past, an accidental tug or movement normally pulled them out of ear. But this ones sit pretty secure in my ears. I would add volume control and maybe some fresh colors to improve these phones. I will probably not buy them again since Im sure their are other products out there with similar quality that have better appearance. The head phone market has become pretty competitive and you can basically get what your looking out there. But since i received these ones as a gift I am very grateful!

FMJ SkullCandy Headphones.

Style and grace, with a painful price tag! Skullcandy gets a lot of points for their style, and their hope is that using their earphones will net you the same. It's safe to say that Skullcandy has never met a color combination that they didn't like. Hot pink and white, canary yellow and blue or apple green and jet black - you name it, they got it. The company offers a wide range of in-ear headphones, headsets and over-the-ear headphones for style aficionados who scoff at the traditional black or white headphone designs, the FMJ Headphones are one of my favorite from their collection. I'll cover both the highs and lows with this review. The price is a tad steep for the sound the headphones produce, it's acceptable, but not jaw-dropping. Aside from that there's pretty much just plus sides for this pair of headphones. The quality metal casing is handy for drops, let's fast, sooner or later you end up stepping on your in-ear headphones. This pair can take a punishment! The major reason I stand behind these headphones is the customer service. The left driver stopped working within the headphone, and SkullCandy was quick to send me a replacement pair after two years of use! Their headphones come with a LIFE-TIME WARRANTY. Not many companies can match that!

Great bass, annoying cord

4

I really loved these headphones for a while, until I found some big drawbacks. The bass is great on these buds, which made me prefer them to my comparable Shure headphones. I later realized that it was just the bass being amplified, though, and that the higher registers weren't as clear. If you're into heavy bass, then these would be a great set for cheap. The main drawback of these has to be the cord. They try to make it so it's tangle-proof, but that just means that the cord stays in the shape of how you wrapped it for longer. Plus, the connection between the cord and the earbuds loosened after about 6 months of normal use and the right headphone stopped working as a result. Also- I HATE it when headphone manufacturers can't figure out the proper length to make the cord. Why use that lengthening connector if you make one side too short to hit your pocket and the other side way too long? Maybe it'll reach down to Yao Ming's waist comfortably, but it's far too long for the average person. Ultimately, it's a tradeoff between sound and how much you're willing to deal with the cord. I'll stick with my Shure's for both.

These Skullcandy headphones are great

4

These headphones are great and I love the sound quality, I like the metal and they work great with my iPod Touch. The only Con I have is that the little earbud peices keep falling off,  It makes me soooooooo mad when I pull my iPod out of my pocket and I lose one of the headphone peices. But, other than this very aggrivating situation they are great headphones, I usually dont like canal headphones because I cant share them with other people because it grosses me out.  After a while using In-ear earphones I notices my ears began to ache and I couldn't listen to music anymore.  So, I went to the store and thought I'd try these Skullcandy canal headphones, They were MUCH more comfortable than my In-ears.  They have lasted for months and I have to say, I love the quality and absolutely love the Comfortableness.  I would definitely recommend these headphones to all of my friends and I recommend these to you.

Sound awesome

I personally like Skullcandy as they have been making consistenly good products, that are not only practical but are aesthetically nice too. These headphones/earphones have very good sound reproduction, with bass being deep and highs very crisp. the Sound isolating design which makes the Headphones/earphones be closer in the ear canal makes the sound very clear with lower volume output and higher quality. I use this with my iPhone 3G to listen to my vast music collection, and it allows me to enjoy the various generes from classical to hard rock as it was produced to be. I have spent this much or more money on other headphones and the sound quality of Skull Candy comes close to Sony yet is affordable. I use my stuff rough and did manage to break open the casing in my luggage, however nothing super glue could not fix. I imagined complex interior however it was a simple dome inside to allow good sound refraction which mimics sound produced by a subwoofer. Good product, decent price, nice looks; go get it.

skullcandy headphones - sturdier than I thought!

4

I bought these for my teenage daughter a bit before Christmas - she absolutely loves them!  We are rough on headphones in our house (we have a cat, a dog, and a 4 year old!) - but they have survived Christmas holidays, car trips, and being used as a jump rope.  The sound is still balanced, and clear.  These are very good!

Good til it stops working

3

I got these as a present last year in December.  They were great!  I loved the volume control on the wire leading up to the earbuds.  However, one headphone stopped working around June.  The other one finally stopped in September.  I think, for the price, they should have lasted at least a year!  I bought another pair of Skullcandy headphones, but not the full metal jacket, despite loving it.  They were too expensive for my college student salary.  I read that the volume stopping in the ear buds is actually quite common in Skullcandy headphones, although the new headphones I have seem to be working just fine.  I would buy the Full Metal Jacket headphones if they weren't so pricey.  The person who got them for me was convinced these are the best headphones out there, but I'm not to observant on noticing things like how the bass sounded and whatnot.  All in all, they were good, just beware that one day the ear buds will stop working and then you'll be stuck without any music until you can get to the store.  It's a huge bummer.
