I'm not in good shape and sometimes when I do become more active I over do it.  Case in point, two weeks ago I bought a treadmill and just about killed myself getting it down the stairs into our basement home gym.  The next day I started feeling a slight pull in my lower abdomen which moved to my back after another few days.  A week later I finally went to the doctor who figured out that I pulled a few muscles dragging the beast down into the basement and prescribed **Skelaxin** which is a muscle relaxer to give me some relief.  I am wary of taking medications but am happy to take Skelaxin as it causes no side effects and I know it will make me feel better. I've been prescribed other muscle relaxers in the past for UTIs or other musculoskeletal issues but Skelaxin is my favorite.  Some of the most common side effects associated with Skelaxin are nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal upset, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, and nervousness or irritability.  I don't ever experience any of those side effects which is very nice.  Other similar medications make me very sleepy and upset my stomach or cause painful hearburn, but I can take Skelaxin on a completely empty stomach without any gastrointestinal or sleepiness issues whatsoever.  More importantly, Skelaxin helps me to start feeling better after just one dose.   Now about a week later I'm feeling much better and the pain is almost gone. I guess that means I need to start using that treamill now, huh?
