 Sister Act has some funny lines and Whoopi Goldberg's energy and performance makes the film seem far better than it really is.

Whoopi  plays a lounge singer in Reno who happens to witness a  murder.  Her boss Harvey Keitel orders her killed.  Whoopi runs to the police and is hidden in a convent...

into musical flicks, waiting for the DVD, willing to pay for quality

Whoopi was great in this movie.  Loved the inspiration she gave to the nuns and the way she helped them get their groove on.  I like movies with good music and talent in it.  This was my type of movie.  Made me laugh, made me cry, and made me want to get up there on screen with them and sing and dance.   I would love to go to Mass with music like that!!
