My Husband and I first discovered satellite radio almost 3 years ago.  My Husband, Rich, is a OTR (Over the Road) truck driver and hated that he had to find a new station to listen to every 1-2 hours.  And then Howard Stern moved to Sirius and that was that.  Rich wanted Sirius.  We have been hooked ever since.

I am a Stay-at-Home Mom of two boys but I travel a lot.  My Parents are 3 1/2 hours away (Green Co.) and Rich's are 2 hours away (Philly area).  When we go on our frequent day trips to Grandma's, I can listen to the same commercial free station the entire time.

Another great feature...

Two years ago I bought a Sirius Satellite Radio subscription and receiver for my boyfriend for Christmas.  He spends over two hours in the car each day and I thought he'd appreciate the variety of channels during his commute.  I was flipping through the channels in his car one day and stumbled across Radio Margaritaville--the Jimmy Buffett channel.  As a huge Parrothead, I was sold.  A whole channel devoted to Buffett-esque music? I had to have a receiver for myself! I got one a couple of months later for my birthday and have been a huge fan of this service ever since.

I cannot stand silence...I must have music or some kind of noise throughout my day!  I love how I can listen to Sirius through Dish Network and then climb in my car and continue to enjoy it while I drive!  I love how the music on most Sirius stations are commercial free--because if I wanted commercials, I'd listen to FM!

However, ever since XM and Sirius joined forces, the stations have changed in various ways.  The Sirius station "Kids Stuff" is now known as "Kids Place" and it is just NOT the same at all.  My kids don't like to listen to it anymore and have stopped asking me to switch stations. ...

This was a great idea to have this many different channels on one "radio".  You can find a channel for whatever mood you are in.  I usually use Super Shuffle on low when I am at work.  You can listen to all kinds of talk radio and all types of music.  The only really bad thing is that the signal goes out sometimes, especially when you're driving.  But you can just adjust the FM channel and it usually works out.

The only reason I have Sirius is due to Howard moving there in 2005. It was exciting and very rewarding to hear them all completly uncensored. At first all I listened to was Howard 24/7. After awhile I started browsing the other stations. I automatically feel in LOVE with Alt Nation channel 21. They have such an awesome variety of music with bands like The Killers, Interpool, Paramore, Lilly Allen, . The dj's were pretty cool. There is one dj in particular that "ROCKS!" and her name is Madison. She is really cool and very entertaining. Another channel that I have set on my tuner is Classic Rewind...

I recently purchased Sirius satellite radio for my husband's birthday.  What a great gift.  There are many different radio channels.  The family/kids channel and the pop/rock channel are a couple of my favorites.  The model I purchased shows the song and artist which is a great feature for us moms who are out of the loop sometimes.  Now I know the names to some of my favorite songs.

We are currently using Sirius through a boombox which I purchased with the satellite radio.  It was a little tricky at first.  We had a hard time getting a signal inside of our house.  We tried a couple of...

If you are a lover of radio, especially music, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. There is a station for everyone, and you will also find your tastes opening as you can explore new genres without the commercials and annoying DJ's.

I would have never guessed it, but we have become fans of old time radio! The shows are addictive, and for an occasional NPR listener it was pure wish fulfillment! I enjoyed the "storytelling" aspect that I love about "Prarie home companion" or "this american life", that our NPR does not offer during the week.

Unfortunately it is now known as the howard stern...

I chose to buy a Sirius satellite radio instead of purchasing a CD player for my car. Also with the home systems, I was able to easily move in into the house. For around $10 per month I am able to listen to a variety of music, without the clutter of CD's. The stations also play many new songs and since the stations a placed into genres you can choose the station of the music that you like or are in the mood for. There are no commercials and if the DJs talk it's not for hour blocks like on FM radio.

I only paid $60 for the car setup and $100 for the home stereo, which is a lot cheaper that...

I am a music LOVER. Across all genres and have been more than frustrated with the choices on the dial for longer than I can remember. With Sirius, you have the ability to choose from all types of music and talk when you want it. With my personal tastes that run from indie to old school hip hop, and big band sounds and everything in between, all I have to do is push a button. No commercials, and no stupid schtick.Plus I hear songs that I will never hear on "real" radio. Old favorites and new bands. I tell you,  my life has been made much better by Sirius radio. For sure.

I bought Sirius Satellite for my husband for Christmas 2 years ago because he's a fan of Howard Stern and it's turned out to be the most used present ever. He was hooked instantly. No matter what your mood, you can always find something you want to hear. I also love that you get to hear songs and bands that you would never hear on traditional radio. The only draw back is there's a lot of trees around our house so it can be difficult to get a signal sometimes. However, I rarely lose signal in my car and couldn't imagine going back to regular radio. I absolutely LOVE it!

I have had nothing but good experiences with Sirius Sattelite Radio.  From the programming to the customer service.   My husband and I signed on to Sirius 3 years ago now, and have never looked back.  Both of our units have broken down.  We called Sirius to let them know and after sending back our systems, they sent us both brand new radios, no questions asked.  They will also credit any down time we were not able to use are radio.  I could not recommend this company more.

I like my sirius radio, but I am not happy that it was soposed to be 100% commercial free and they are airing a lot of commercials that get annoying.  It does have a great variety of music so everyone can find something they like to listen to.  I love their broadway and classical selection when I am in the car with my baby, and the comedy is great when it is me and the hubby-to-be.  IF they would get rid of the commercials I would give em 5 stars hands down!  the radios and cheap and service is decent

I used to have XM radio and I thought it was good.  Then I switched to Sirius Radio.  I have a unit that came with my Dodge Nitro and I hardly ever listen to the regular radio stations anymore.  I bought the status model for home and have it hooked up to the Directed unit and it is awesome.  I do have some satillite issues, but that is really few and far between.  This is definately worth the money espically if you love listening to different genres of music and being introduced to new bands.

I love Sirius. I was skeptical at first; thinking that I didn't need another bill every month. Wow, was I wrong. I pay under $20 a month and love it. It was a very easy to install with their instructions and easy to get connected. I have loads of channels and enjoy not having to listen to commercials. I can choose to listen to the news, music, talk shows, you name it, they've got it. I haven't had any receptions problems as some have experienced. This is a must for under the Christmas Tree.

Spent way too long having to find new stations on road trips. Now you just set the station and enjoy the whole drive long. Plenty of choices-all types of music, sports, comedy-everything. Plus, when you're in the house or sitting on the deck, you can just unplug from you car and use it as a boombox. No commercials, and every type of entertainment, you just can't beat it. Only drawback is the cost.
