My Husband and I first discovered satellite radio almost 3 years ago. My Husband, Rich, is a OTR (Over the Road) truck driver and hated that he had to find a new station to listen to every 1-2 hours. And then Howard Stern moved to Sirius and that was that. Rich wanted Sirius. We have been hooked ever since.
I am a Stay-at-Home Mom of two boys but I travel a lot. My Parents are 3 1/2 hours away (Green Co.) and Rich's are 2 hours away (Philly area). When we go on our frequent day trips to Grandma's, I can listen to the same commercial free station the entire time.
Another great feature...
review »Two years ago I bought a Sirius Satellite Radio subscription and receiver for my boyfriend for Christmas. He spends over two hours in the car each day and I thought he'd appreciate the variety of channels during his commute. I was flipping through the channels in his car one day and stumbled across Radio Margaritaville--the Jimmy Buffett channel. As a huge Parrothead, I was sold. A whole channel devoted to Buffett-esque music? I had to have a receiver for myself! I got one a couple of months later for my birthday and have been a huge fan of this service ever since.

review »This was a great idea to have this many different channels on one "radio". You can find a channel for whatever mood you are in. I usually use Super Shuffle on low when I am at work. You can listen to all kinds of talk radio and all types of music. The only really bad thing is that the signal goes out sometimes, especially when you're driving. But you can just adjust the FM channel and it usually works out.
The only reason I have Sirius is due to Howard moving there in 2005. It was exciting and very rewarding to hear them all completly uncensored. At first all I listened to was Howard 24/7. After awhile I started browsing the other stations. I automatically feel in LOVE with Alt Nation channel 21. They have such an awesome variety of music with bands like The Killers, Interpool, Paramore, Lilly Allen, . The dj's were pretty cool. There is one dj in particular that "ROCKS!" and her name is Madison. She is really cool and very entertaining. Another channel that I have set on my tuner is Classic Rewind...
review »I recently purchased Sirius satellite radio for my husband's birthday. What a great gift. There are many different radio channels. The family/kids channel and the pop/rock channel are a couple of my favorites. The model I purchased shows the song and artist which is a great feature for us moms who are out of the loop sometimes. Now I know the names to some of my favorite songs.
We are currently using Sirius through a boombox which I purchased with the satellite radio. It was a little tricky at first. We had a hard time getting a signal inside of our house. We tried a couple of...
review »If you are a lover of radio, especially music, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. There is a station for everyone, and you will also find your tastes opening as you can explore new genres without the commercials and annoying DJ's.
I would have never guessed it, but we have become fans of old time radio! The shows are addictive, and for an occasional NPR listener it was pure wish fulfillment! I enjoyed the "storytelling" aspect that I love about "Prarie home companion" or "this american life", that our NPR does not offer during the week.
Unfortunately it is now known as the howard stern...
review »I chose to buy a Sirius satellite radio instead of purchasing a CD player for my car. Also with the home systems, I was able to easily move in into the house. For around $10 per month I am able to listen to a variety of music, without the clutter of CD's. The stations also play many new songs and since the stations a placed into genres you can choose the station of the music that you like or are in the mood for. There are no commercials and if the DJs talk it's not for hour blocks like on FM radio.
I only paid $60 for the car setup and $100 for the home stereo, which is a lot cheaper that...
review »I have had nothing but good experiences with Sirius Sattelite Radio. From the programming to the customer service. My husband and I signed on to Sirius 3 years ago now, and have never looked back. Both of our units have broken down. We called Sirius to let them know and after sending back our systems, they sent us both brand new radios, no questions asked. They will also credit any down time we were not able to use are radio. I could not recommend this company more.
