I am very pleased with my Singer Simple sewing machine.

 It sews from sheer to denim to canvas with ease. With just the change of a needle for that type of fabric.

It is easy to thread and to wind the bobbin .

The decorative stiches are easy to use. My only complaint is that I sure go have to have a lot of bobbins handy as it does use a lot of thread for the decorative stitches.

I am not very good at the buttonholder, if fact I do not use it at all. I just use the zigzag for all the buttonholes that I do make, which aren't very many.

I would recommend the Singer Simple machine to anyone just starting out, or to anyone looking for a good basic machine. It threads up in less then a minute start to finish. It comes with a variety of stitches to pick from, and it even makes button holes for you. It is a very lightweight machine, and the carry handle right on top makes to easy to take it either to the next room or to a friend's house for a sewing party. I got mine for just under $100, and it has already more then paid for itself.
