I purchased the Singer Prelude model on the spur of the moment....my son needed a costume for school the next day and there was no way I was going to pay what the stores wanted for the shabby material they supplied. This was around Halloween but not a halloween costume. I decided instead to buy the machine and make the "Super Hero" costume. I found the machine priced well, did a good job and although a little hard to thread...worth what I spent. It also, made me #1 mom for the day.Not for the serious sewers....but for the occasional...perfect.
