Alright to all you moms looking for a great Sewing Machine and a way to make a little cash.  Today everyone is trying to save a buck.  I have been sewing with a Singer for years. I was so pleased to get a new Singer and pass my old one down to my daughter. We save a lot of money mending clothes and making other clothes that my Singer will pay for itself without me doing anything else.  With all the botique type clothes purses and nick nacks your Singer could land you in a gold mine.  It is easy to use, easy to set up and very comfortable to me and my daughter.  I was able to show her how to use my old one and now when she gets on the new Singer she is so happy. The bobbin was so awkward on my old machine. This one I just pop in and go.  I will be happy to recommend this to all the mom's who sew but espically to the one's who want to learn.  This machine is great for the experianced and the beginers.

I can still remember as a kid my mother sewing on her old foot pedal singer sewing machine.  Now, here we are in the computer age and Singer is keeping up.  This sewing machine can do anything you want it to and make even the most inexperienced person an excellent seamstress (Or seamster).  I recommend that you check this sewing machine out!

I went to my sisters house to visit and she was in her sewing room and she has this machine now i am not as good as she is on any of the sewing machines but she said to me try this stitch on this machine so i went over to the machine sat in the chair and she showed me how to use this now i thought this would be a little on the hard side but i was amazed it was not this is easy to use very compact and being as tho it is computerized it makes it seem easier to use and some what less time consuming my sister makes her clothes and her kids clothes and they all look great the items she makes from this machine you would think when you see them they are store bought clothing articles she said this machine is like a family member to her she has to have it and she takes this where ever she goes on vacation and so on so i would have to say two thumbs up on this machine and i do recommend this to many

I purchased this machine about 2 years ago and it has received limited use.  I have used it for a couple of simple sewing projects and found that it did a good job.  The unit is lightweight, portable, and was easy to setup with use of the manual.  Has some nice features and works great for someone who does simple sewing projects on occasion.  Probably not the best sewing machine if you sew a lot or do more advanced projects with challenging fabrics.  It meets my sewing needs though. I purchased the machine for its embroidery capabilities.  I was curious to try out embroidery but did not want to purchase an expensive embroidery machine.  This one seemed like the perfect choice with the software that was included to digitize designs.  However, I have yet to be able to do an embroidery project with the machine.  I found that the software included is outdated and has quite a few bugs in it.  I have installed according to the directions, used the patch online, and attempted to use Singer's customer service online to resolve the problem - to no avail.  I am now looking at acquiring an older computer or laptop from someone with an older version of windows to see if the software will be more compatible.

I've had mine for 3 years now. When it works well it is a joy. It is cranky. Be sure that it it on a PERFECTLY FLAT surface. I spent weeks of time, effort and frustration taking it to the shop, the manufacturer and anyone I knew trying to understand why it wouldn't function at my home only to find out that my desk top was't level. After curing that issue it has worked pretty well. Many of the issues that I have with it are addressed in the next better model CE-250. I will be buying that software soon. The work I do with it is lovely and garners me many praises and compliments. I do like that I can use most of the major design programs and am not restricted to only the XXX that Singer uses. SingerOffers addition CD to improve the capabilities. Unfortunately, you only get a disk and are then on your own to try and figure out what you have. The tutorial on the disk just isn't enough to make the information on the disk functional. I rarely use it as a sewing machine. I have other Singer machines for that. I do, however, use it for the decorative stitches. It has a wonderful range of specialty and decorative stitches. Overall, I love my CE-150. It has it's problems as does any machine. The more advanced the technology, the more possibilty for issues.

I have owned this machine for over 3 years and I continue to love it. In that time I have replaced the b0bbin case twice due to knicks that kept it from embroidering smoothly, but with regular cleaning and oiling it has required little other maintenance. I really like having the software that drives the machine completely on my laptop, rather than part of the machine itself. It kept the initial cost of the machine down, but it still does everything that I want it to do. It is a sewing machine, as well as an embroidery machine,although I use it primarily for the embroidery function. I especially like having the ability to use many different embroidery formats, so I am not limited to one company. With the editing capabilites of the software I can do many things that the more expensive machines offer. The finished product always looks great-very smooth embroidery. Love, love love my Futura and would recommend.
