singer7442 is easy to use

too busy to make beds, Every day computer user, looking for value, picking up after pets, not very handy, creative, needing outside help, messy

useful, easy to load the bobbin, easy to thread, glides with ease on any fabric, easy to use

Cons

denim a problem, not powerful enough for leather

I received the Singer 7442 for my birthday last year to replace my 20 year old singer. It is easy to thread,and easy to operate. I was able to show my grandaughter how to use it in minutes! I find sewing very delicate fabrics or denim can be a chalenge, but is possible. The self threader is more complicated for me to use than "regular" threading, however my grandaughter mastered it in minutes.
