My boys love hash browns, but it sure takes a long time to shred potatoes. I don't have to worry about that now though, because Simply Potatoes has fresh shredded potatoes in bags in the refrigerator section at the grocery store.

We've bought frozen hash browns, and they're pretty good. But, they don't...

I really like a good hearty breakfast on occasion and when I do I like to have a bag of Simply Potatoes Hash browns with onions waiting for me in the refrigerator.  Sure I could make Hash browns by hand, but why should I when most of the work has been done for me.  You still get to cook them so they are nice and fresh.  You honestly can not really tell that you did not shred the potatoes yourself.

All you do to cook these is just add a little oil in to a frying pan, about 2 tablespoons, you then just pour the potatoes in to the pan, then you just cook them up.  You can brown them up...

i love these. If I had to shred potatoes for hash browns we would only have them when we eat out. I not only use them as hash browns for breakfast but I also use them to make potato pancakes. Since they are already shredded they are easy to use for this. When I use them as hashbrowns I put them on my stovetop grill with a little olive oil. I like that they are not preseasoned so that way I can add as much or as little salt as needed. A little diced onion and green peppers are also good mixed in them.

As a child my father called me Miss.Potatoe head and this product explains the reason why.I love this product. You can eat it by itself or mix up for a cassarole. You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a late night snack. I use the potatoes in omlets, because you can buy the pack that comes with onions and bellpeppers chopped or even the Southwest style that adds a little spice. Any way you choose to use this product it will be delicious.

I'm very picky as to what pre-packaged products I buy for my family.  Most of the products that are easy to make are packed with preservatives and some type of salt.  These potatoes were an excellent choice with an easy to read ingredient list.  The texture of these potatoes was great and couldn't have held up better if I had shredded them myself.  I loved the taste and that I could add any herb or spice and not have there flavor clash with any pre-seasong already in the product.  A good value and fits right in with anyone on a budget when you consider how long it takes to peel and shred the...

Well i hate to say it but i'm not good at cooking hashbrowns as my kids lol. I had a coupon for hashbrowns, so i decied to try it out. Well when i started cooking and seeing how easy it was, with the hashbrowns turning a golden brown and not sticking. I was happy. Well the real taste test was the kids, well my oldest ask what i did differnet because these taste great. Well from then on out we were hooked on them and they come in different taste or plain and uyou season it yourself. Worth ever penny.

  1. These are great when you are in a hurry.
  2. Real potatoes so they still taste great.
  3. Always fresh
  4. Cook up quickly and in good form.
  5. Fairly reasonable.
  6. I found these by accident one day when looking for something else.  I think they are fantastic.  We especially like them for breakfast.  Who wants to get up in the morning and spend all the extra time peeling potatoes and my family does not care for frozen hash browns.

We have been using Simply potatoes hash browns for several years.  They are just like homemade, that's for sure.  But when we cook them in the casserole listed on the package, they don't seem to get done.  It's hard to describe.  But they are quick to cook just for hashbrowns.  They do need seasoning, but I would much rather add my own-you can always add, but can't take away.

I love to buy these hash browns.  We usually cook them on the weekend when I can make a large breakfast for my husband.  He cooks breakfast every weekday.  These hash browns are light and not dripping with liquid.  They cook up nicely.  All I do is cook four minutes on each side and add a little salt and serve.

These are a great time saver. I love to cook, but it is hard to find the time. The recipes on the back of the package are bad either.  It sure beats peeling, chopping, slicing, grated and the mess.  I have a allergy to the starch when peeling potatoes and this saves me from the irritation that I get from handling them.

Every now and again my preference for cooking from scratch runs smack into my need for quick and easy.  Tonight was a perfect example.  With my daughter eating and sleeping over a friend's house my wife said she could really go for something quick and simple for dinner.

"How about eggs and something?" she suggested.  "Hash Browns", I offered up.  "Perfect", said she.  See?  Simple, really simple.

Perhaps if this was a Sunday morning and I was in the mood for an old fashioned  "cholesterol festival", I might have started these potatoes off fresh.  I do cook some crazy hash browns and sausage...

I love these hash browns, the potatoes are so fresh!  They are so easy to make and that is a real plus for getting a quick breakfast before heading off to school and work.                  My daughters like to add cheese, and a fried egg on top...and I like that they are getting a warm breakfast.  I have added them into a breakfast casserole with great results and rave reviews!  We have discovered that these hash browns work well for dinner as well, the recipes on the package are great.

I love this product.  It fast, easy to cook and I get great results everytime - of course you need to use the proper temperature and amount of oil to get that nice toasty brown color on the potatoes.  This is being said by a true-blue hashbrown lover - they are different than fried potatoes.  Also, there isn't a strange after tastes that I notice with some pre-package foods.

If you fry Simply potatoes hash browns in oil they will brown nicely but have that oily residue taste when eating them. That is what I taste anyway. I fry them in butter, they taste great even though they are fattening, they brown as good as oil also..Use margarine? The flavor is there but they do not brown the way you would like. Butter also adds the crisp tast that oil does but with flavor.
