Remember a simpler time when hot summer weather might motivate some champion among us to adjourn to the kitchen, there to squeeze enough fresh lemons for a frosty pitcher of lemonade? Well, your mother probably doesn't do that for you anymore but fortunately someone ELSE does ... the Simply Orange Juice Company of Apopka, FL, who have probably worked hard and squeezed a lot of lemons to produce Simply Lemonade.
Simply Lemonade lives up to its name -- it is simple, containing nothing but 12% lemon juice, sugar, pure filtered water, and natural flavors. This juice is not made from a concentrate and there is apparently no corn syrup in it, which means that you can knock back a glass of it without having to pay the price of a gummy after-taste.
An eight-ounce single serving contains 120 calories with zero calories from fat, zero total fat, 30 grams total carbs and 28 grams sugars.
TASTE TIP:
If it is almost time for "Happy Hour" on a hot summer day, here is something to be happy about: pour a tall glass of Simply Lemonade, add ice and a shot of Vodka, and garnish with a slice of lemon and a couple maraschino cherries. Here's looking at ya!
