We got this crib for our first baby almost 4 years ago for our first baby, I liked it that it converts into a toddler bed and has the storage drawer, that helps a lot. 2 years ago when we were havig a birthday party at home, one of the kids who attended the party broke the crib's mattress support...

I bought this crib because it was very inexpensive and I did not have alot of money. I also liked the idea of having the drop side. When I first put the crib together(before my daughter was born) I thought it was a little flimsy, but I did not know too much about cribs so I just used it anyway. A few...

I bought this crib when my now 4 year old was a baby - ended up being recalled. Tried to return it to get my money back and they refused... told me they weren't accepting refunds but would send out a "repair kit" well, that takes time! If anyone who works for the company is a PARENT themselves they would know a child isn't going to sleep in a crib after a few weeks with mom & dad!
I was furious with Simplicity, I had a travel swing that was recalled for an injury (another company) and they accepted the return but they wouldn't accept a refund for children DYING. I went ahead and ordered the repair...

If you are looking for a standard crib for your baby this one could be for you.  Siplicity's Aspen Crib is a four in one, which means it changes from a crib to a toddler bed, toddler bed to a day bed, daybed to a full size bed.  Economically it is a steal for what the product promises to do.  I actually bought this crib myself about 6 months ago for my baby.  As a mother of 4 boys now, I have had my share of cribs.  I found that the Aspen crib was fairly easy to assemble and came with a maltitude of options, like the mobile.  It also comes with all the hardware for the interchangable beds. ... read full review »

I really like the all in one design, but I felt the quality of ours was lacking. When we first opened it and went to put it together it was a little overwhelming. What didn't help though was some of the parts (straight out of the box) were broken and badly marred up. The underbed storage's bottom panel was made so thin that it's corner was snapped  completely off and in various pieces. It was a smaller portion compared to the whole panel itself, but nun the less it was broke & we did have to fix it ourselves before we could use it. (It was a gift so we didn't want to ask for the reciept to... read full review »

This is a well made bed.  We enjoyed it being able to change into a toddler bed made it last longer for each child.  We are looking forward to using it as a "grown up" bed soon.  The only problem we have encountered is our daughter's jumping on the bed as a toddler bed made the screws come undone.  We haven't been able to correct the problem with the screws but it will not effect the use of the bed as a grown up bed in the future.

Simplicity made some cribs for Graco also, so this crib can be found under the Simplicy name only, or also called "Graco by Simplicity", but they are the exact same design. This crib was horrible. The metal brackets that were supposed to hold up the slide down rail constantly broke, and the side would fall down on it's own. I had order more repair parts over and over, but they constantly broke, sometimes instantly. My son fell out of the crib when the side fell down on its own, at nine months. This was in 2004. I notified Simplicy, and they were aware that it was a mass problem, but did nothing...

Instructions were easy to follow. Crib is fairly easy to assemble. May need two people for attaching the mattress support.
Trundle drawer is nice if you are short on room; it fits nicely under the crib and is easy to access with the caster wheels.
Very affordable, especially since it adapts as your child grows.
Easy to disassemble and durable. I recently moved and had to take apart and reassemble this crib. Did not take much time to do either and crib stood up well to the move.
Overall, this crib is a very good buy.

We did not want to invest hundreds of dollars in a baby bed, but we did want something new that would last us 2-3 years. This crib is a great value and a decent piece of furniture. Our little guy is about 6 months ahead of himself on the growth chart and is not easy on things. His bed has held up great. We did invest in a good mattress to help encourage comfortable sleeping.
We're having a second baby soon and plan on buying the same crib.  This may be the crib brand that was recently recalled because of people installing the drop-side incorrectly. That's sad, but we had no issue at all.

I bought this bed for my daughter. Its been a life saver. I bought another one for my son too! These beds are easy to set up and perfect for all infants, toddlers and CHILDREN!. I do wish the bed railing had a different raise/lower method when in "crib mode" but other than that this bed is perfect! Highly recommended for everyone, especially those who want all the nice things without the high cost! This bed was bought when my daughter was 1 mo old and she still uses it and she will be FOUR in one month!

Due to the recall on the Aspen 4 in 1 crib, we had to replace the cribs once. But before that the wood mattress supports snapped in half on both of my kids cribs. The cribs that Simplicity sent to us to replace the cribs that broke & were included in the recall are extremely unstable feeling & the screws are constantly falling out, hence causing a possible choking hazard. I do not recommend this brand at all!

I love this crib. It is appealing to the eye and the wallet. It is practical in that it does change as the stage goes along. It is also very durable. I layed on it with my daughter while it was a toddler bed to read a story every night. It held her and I and I wasn't even scared for us. It has been great with my 2nd daughter, it is back to a crib and is still quiet so that she doesn't wake as I lift the side if she's already asleep. Great Bargain.

I bought one of these beds 5 years ago for my oldest son. I've recently had boy number 2 and had to purchase a new one. I didn't buy the new one because the old one wasn't usable, rather because my older son still uses his. It's fantastic! This bed will grow with your newborn all the way through college.

It is sturdy and dependable and yet it is still extremely attractive! I would recommend this bed to any new parent.

This crib is beautiful!! BUT after a years time the wood warped and made a loud cracking sound that came from the top back of the crib.. when I went to see what happened the whole top was no longer flush. I called the manufactors and they give you the run around... no managers to speak to and no help! So here I am with a crib that is NOT SAFE for my child!!!

I love this crib. It is a beautiful natural wood color so it goes with any decor and is very durable.  The best part is it grows with the childos no buying a toddler bed then a ful bed all u need to do is get a mattress in the future ( great for the budget conscious). The only bad thing is the storage drawer is very small.
