Purchased Simmons best world class mattress from local dealer.  Mattress has ten year warrantee.  After one year mattress sags in middle.  Dealer said he quit handeling Simmons because he couldn't get them to stand behind warrantee.  Dealer told me to contact Simmons direct.  After contacting Simmons and filling out all their warrantee paper work they sent me, sending all pictures and measurements they required I had to call Simmons after one month because of no reply.  When I called Simmons they told me they had lost my address and that they would not warrantee mattress because the pictures looked like the bed was within spec of mattress.  I asked if they could have a service or sales representative come and look.  They told me they didn't call on this area anymore and wouldn't sent a rep.  They however do drive through this town each month to call on a dealer in another town.  I am very disappointed in the bed that I paid $2,000 for and the disinterest Simmons showed.  Bed in guest room and sleeping on a good pillow top Serta.  After this experience with simmons I would never own another simmons product.  I am sixty years old and this is the first warrantee claim I have ever filed.  Bad, Bad, Simmons.

Hi! Definitely! I just had a fight with the warranty department. I spoke with a representative who told me I would have to wait 90 days to have someone come out to see the mattress again. I told them that was nonsense. I also informed this woman that I wanted all the reports and pictures they took. She told me I couldn't have them. She also told me that I could do my own report! Yeah right. I told her my report would be done the right way. I also asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me I couldn't. I told her that there must be a supervisor on her shift and that I had a right to speak to her. After a while, she came back on and said that she reviewed my file with the supervisor and that nothing had changed. I told her once again that I wanted to speak directly to this person. I was denied that. I argued some more and made her take my number and told her I wanted a call back and they were to call after 12:30 as I am working. I also informed her that I would be contacting channel 7 on your side, the Attorney General's office of the state of NJ, and the Better Business Bureau. She was basically a useless representative who thinks she can divert calls from angry customers.

Hi, Thanks for your response. Simmons had a man that works for them come out to look at our mattress on the first Saturday in March 2009. He took pictures of it, measured it, and told my husband and I that there was something really wrong with our mattress and that we would be hearing from the Simmons Corp. within the next 10 days and that he knew that they would replace it. Well, it's been 5 months now since that guy came out here and looked at it and we've still never heard anything from the Simmons Corp. What a bunch of liars they all are that work for that company!!! Simmons has a manufacturing plant about 30 miles from where we live. I told my husband that I want him to load up the mattress and box springs and drive out to the main highway entrance to their plant and set it up in the back of the truck with a BIG SIGN on the side of it with BRIGHT RED LETTER'S that reads, "DO NOT BUY ANY OF SIMMONS PRODUCTS BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY GUARANTEED TO LAST 6 MONTHS OR LESS & THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY AT ALL!!!" May be that would get their attention. My husband had to go to Home Depot and buy some wood to build two special frames that go right under the area where you sleep at night to lift the sagging bed up enough so we could continue to sleep on it. This has been a real nightmare for us, I wish now we would of spent the extra $1,000 at the time and went ahead and purchased a Sleep Number Bed. If I decide to do a Class Action Lawsuit I will be sure and notify you.

We are going through the same problem with Simmons right now. We bought ours from Rockaway Bedding in Sept. 2006. We are in the same situation. We called Simmons. They sent out a representative to see the mattress, and now there has been no response from Simmons. We will join your suit.

My husband and I purchased our Simmons Beautyrest World Class Mattress set at Dillards in February 2006. For the first 6 months it was fine, then it began to feel like we were sleeping in a small ditch with a small hill between us. Now after almost 3 years we are sleeping in a deep canyon with a mountain between us, and I wake up every morning with a sore lower back. We are finally sending the papers to Simmons to see if they will either fix it or give us a new one, but from the sound of the other comments left on this site it doesn't look like Simmons stand behind their products. If my husband and I do not hear back from them I am calling our local TV station which has a "Call for Action", and if that doesn't work I'm calling my lawyer to see if we can't get a class action law suit against the company for not backing the warrantee that came with the mattress.

My husband and I had the same problem, were searching for a new bed. Simmon's would not honor their warranty. We have only had the bed for 5 months and I feel like I'm in a large whole. I weigh a whole 118 ibs. and my husband is 160 ibs. and we have a large hump in between us (ugh).....

I too bought a Simmons from Nebraska Furniture Mart. NFM did
a Rep after I made a complaint He said the Matress was bad.
I waited a month still no word, when I called they said the Simmons Rep denied my claim because it looked like the Rep was
pushing down on the Mattress. I have had this Mattress for three
months! I weigh 119 pounds and live alone. I'll never buy their product again!

We are having the same problem with our Simmons betterley plush. Has a 10 year warrenty and after 1 1/2 years, it is sagging badly. We contacted Slumberland and they sent a rep out to look at it. Even though it meets the requirements for being defective, they said it couldn,t be replaced due to a small spot (stain). When we bought the mattress we paid another $80.00 for a mattress protector bed sheet that DIDN"T work, and they won't stand behind the warrenty of the mattress protector either. Talk about a rip off!! As for us we will never purchase another Simmons again and have told everyone we know to beware.

Bad news. Thanks for sharing though. This would make me very nervous about buying this brand name.

Thank you for sharing this I will definately not consider a mattress company that will not honor their warrantees.
