My husband and I purchased the Simmons Beautyrest Black Rosalyn mattress for $2500 in the summer. We had it 10 days and the side of the bed popped out about 2 inches! Immediately I went to the mattress store that we purchased it from, photos in hand, and complained. They told me that I had to go directly to the manufacturer. The representative at Simmons Beautyrest Black told me to go through the place that I purchased it from. Eventually the mattress was exchanged for another from the mattress store. A few months later I noticed the side of the bed was again popped out about 2 inches along 1/2 the length of the bed! My husband said it had been that way since about a few weeks after we got it. I didn't notice it since he helps make the bed and is on his side. I was pretty upset. My husband is heavy, (280 lb), but he weighed as much while sleeping on our old mattress (also a Simmons Beautyrest) and it never did this in the entire 10 years that we had it!!!!! This time we had to fill out a warranty form and pay $55 for a person to come out and assess the mattress! The sag in the bed in the top of the bed was about 1 inch, which apparently needs to be greater than 1 1/2" to get a replacement. If it was just a minor sag I wouldn't care, but as soon as you lay on it with the side bulging, the bed collapses considerably, enough that my husband has to stay close to the middle of the bed not to fall out of it! The representative asked me if I ever considered turning the mattress! I said, "This mattress is only a few months old and it's been this way for most of that time! Why would I want to turn it and have bulges on both sides?" This is DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE COST!!!! I wouldn't recomment it to anyone and would even be leary of recommending the Simmons brand. I wanted to get one of the Sleep Number beds and didn't. I should have gone with my first choice!
