Similac Isomil Advance
We spent 6 weeks trying to breastfeed and supplementing milk with the Similac in the blue container. Those were quite possibly the worst 6 weeks of our lives. Day and night, the baby was spitting up large amounts, extremely fussy, and had gas that would leave her screaming for hours on end. She was not sleeping, we were not sleeping, and I think all of us were at our wit's end. My son had problems with spitting up after switching exclusively to formula when he was two months old. I have no idea why he did not spit up when he was also getting breast milk but it was obvious that the problem stopped when we had to go completely to formula. He did ok on soy formula for awhile and then reacted to that. We had great luck with the Similac Sensitive formula but we did feel he was spitting up a lot. Similac Sensitive
In the beginning my son was getting gas pains from the regular similac formula. He would cry all the time until he had relief. So we switched him to the similac sensitive. It was great. He didn't suffer from the gas pains like he used to. The formula was very gentle on his stomach and he was very regular. Some of the other formulas and store brand formulas that were the same or similar didn't work as well for him. The store brand especially would make him constipated. WIth my first child I used Enfamil Lipil powdered formula because that is what came with WIC. When I had my second child WIC hand changed to use SImilac instead of Enfamil. I absolutely loved the Enfamil but was willing to try the similac to see how well my child liked it. At first we had him on regular Similac frmula but he kept getting constipted or got diarhea. I recomend this formula over its competitor. I think all babys should have this formula. Carries all the nutrients your baby needs to nourish and protect your baby.
Similac Similac isomil Advance Soy Infant Formula
After our third child was born she had difficulty gaining weight and could not keep her food down and was constantly fussy. Iwas breast feeding and supplement with Similac formula, milk based to help her gain. The vomiting presisted so we changed her formula to Isomil Advance Soy Formula to help her and it worked! That first day of no vomiting and no gas bubbles in her tiny little belly was such a releif to us all. Similac Sensitive Formula
I switched my daughter from regular Similac Advance to the Similac Sensitive for her gas, fussiness, and spit up. I noticed no improvement once on this new formula. In fact, it only made everything worse. The gas got much worse, and it gave her hiccups evertime she drank the Similac Sensitive. She cried constantly after having a bottle of the Similac Sensitive because her stomach was so upset from the gas, so fussiness was definitely not helped. Similac Low Iron Infant Formula
My daughter Keagyn, always had trouble pooping. She would do this thing where it almost sounded like a squeel when she would poop. The poor thing would have very large and hard bowel movements at just a few months old. I couldnt figure out what to do. When I first had her I did try to breastfeed. Its not that it wasn't for me, its just that I have already large breast, and it didn't help to fill them with milk. It was a hard and painful process for me. I have 3 children ages 4, 1 and 7 weeks. Both my 1 year old and 7 week old have eaten Similac Organic. They have both done very well with it and not had to change formulas. I am very happy that I can give my children organic formula, as I choose to feed them as much organic food as I can afford. I would have given this to my 4 year old also, but it was not available in 2005. It is also reasonably priced!
There are very few companies that make organic formula, and I'm so glad the Similac does!
Similac Alimentum
My baby was miserable. We tried every formula on the market. He has colic time 100 which made him cry all the time. On top of it, he would throw up (spit up is being too nice) evertime he ate. We thought he had a lactose problem, but changing him to a soy formula did not help. Then we discovered Alimentum. It cost more, but it is worth it. It makes baby and parents very happy!
