Our Son was born 3 weeks early and weighed in at 5lb 15oz. We started him off on Similac Advance with Early Shield from day one in the hospital. Since we had used Similac Advance with our other child we already knew tha name and trusted the brand. Soon after we settled in at home, we noticed our Son had trouble with a very gassy stomach and seemed in pain after and during every feeding. My first thought is that he had reflux or an allergy to the formula. After visting with our pediatrician, she recommended that we give Similac Sensitive a try. I was hesitant since we had not tried...
review »After three months of nursing my daughter I got an infection in my breast and had to use formula. I was very upset to switch to formula because I thought it would be horrible for my daughter. It took five different formulas before she finally decided on Similac Sensitive. Wow- it has been great and completely positive. My daughter tolerates it well. The only negative is that it trends to get very foamy when I mix it. Considering this is a formula for fusiness and gas I would think it should not foam so easily. My daughter does spit up occassionally, but I think it is just from a...
review »My baby had terrible, painful gas. From morning to night she would scream and cry. Gas drops, the vibrating chair, and leg pumping never seemed to work. I was unable to breast feed, and regular formula just seemed to make matters worse. Since both my husband and I had problems with lactose as babies, we started to wonder if our baby did too. When my daughter's pediatrician suggested Similac Sensitive formula, we immediately made the switch. The difference was night and day! The lactose free formula was easier on her tiny tummy that regular milk based formula. She had noticably less gas and...
review »When I found out I was having my second son.Boy my mind was I hope his not sensitive to the normal formula. So I thought it would be a good idea to breasfeed . And when i returend to work may be start formula. With out my control i had to stop breasfeeding my son sooner then I thought. So I tryed the normal formal and he has crying nights and he was not feeling good so I had the same feeling I had with my older son when he was a baby. The only down part of this journey wiht my son was that his doctor was not happy with my choice. Honest its not her choice. My son is happy with the milk no more...
review »BEING A FIRST TIME MOM I LISTENED TO THE DOCTORS AND NURSES AND WENT WITH THE SIMILIAC WITH IRON AND AFTER TWO WEEKS MY SON STARTED SPITTING UP AFTER EVERY BOTTLE AND AFTER SWITCHING TO SOY BASED FORMULA AND MY SON STILL SPITTING UP AFTER EVERY BOTTLE I TOOK MATTERS INTO MY OWN HANDS AND SWITCHED HIM MYSELF TO THE SIMILIAC SENSITIVE AND IT WAS THE BEST MOVE THAT I COULD HAVE DONE. THIS WAS THE BEST FORMULA THAT HE WOULD TAKE AND HAD THE LESS AMOUNT OF SPITTING UP AFTER EATING. I WOULD TELL ANYONE THAT IS HAVING A TUMMY PROBLEM WITH THEIR CHILD TO TRY THIS FORMULA.
this is a good formula, but the price is too much, and the advance with iron makes the bottles messy with powdery stuff and my baby doesnt like the advance it makes her fussy. enfamil and good start was for her.
