Both of my babies were born with very sensitive stomachs. I primarily breastfed, but also liked to supplement with formula to help my sanity and give me some extra sleep! I tried several different "sensitive" formula's on both of my children. My son settled on a soy product that worked well, but my daughter was just not doing well with any products. My doctor recommended that I try Similac Sensitive R.S.. It is supposed to decrease spit-up, as well as fussiness and gas. Within 2 days of starting the formula, I was able to tell a difference in my daughter and her sensitive stomach. She transitioned from spitting up 4+ Tbsp., to only a tsp or two with each feeding. She also became a happier baby and was much easier to console. I was very happy with this result, because Similac R.S. is not that much more expensive than regular Similac, and the next product the Doctor recommended would cost at least 4 times that amount. The only negative thing I would have to say about the formula is that my daughter did not tolerate the powdered form. I solely used the pre-prepared liquid. As I was only supplementing, this did not break our budget and worked well for our situation.
