This is a great product. If you go to similac.com you can get free samples of the kind you use..and they also send you lots of $5.00 of coupons.

It does not eliminate gas and the smell is horrible but I am pretty sure all formulas are the same. My son was premature and this was the only formula that...

I tried this for a while to see how it worked with my newborn. At first he seemed to like it but after awhile he started to get fussy, was spitting up all the time, and wouldn't sleep more than 20 minutes at a time (even during the night). I switched to a different formula and he started to sleep 4 to... review »

I have tried so many different formulas for my daughter since her being a newborn. She is now ten months old and has been on Similac Isomil Advance for the past 8 months. This product is great because my daughter would scream for hours due to stomach aches. After starting her on Similac Isomil Advance I had no problems and she felt a lot better. No more spit ups! No more screaming for hours at a time! Who wouldn't love this product!?

Our son was born 2 months early and after a 17-day stay in the NICU, our peditrician told us to use name brand formula. Being first time parents, we flocked to Similac. They were the sponsors of the year for the hospital diaper bags, so why not?

We started our son on the regular milk and he was just fussy as ever. We thought it was normal. How could we know? About two months later, we were exhausted and visiting my parents when we were advised to try a soy formula. We weren't too thrilled, but we tried it.

Within a WEEK our son's colic had vanished. The GERD was gone and he was a VERY happy baby....

We had to switch to a soy formula after several bouts of projectile vomiting.  The Similac Advanced soy has worked very well.  My 2 month old son has adjusted well to it with no more vomiting.  The formula is expensive however, running around $26.00 per 25.7 oz. can at our local Walmart.  I do get $5.00 checks from Similac from time to time to make it cheaper.  The down side to the formula is the smell!  Soy does not produce great gas or burp smells!

Similac Isomil Advance is marketed as a formula for babies with an intollerance to cow's milk based formula. Do you know that most babies with an intollerance or allergy to cow's milk, will more likely than not, also have an intollerance to soy based formula? Such was the case with my daughter. She could not tollerate regular cow's milk based formula because she has acid reflux. We tried every formula under the sun including Isomil Advance. While talking to our pediatrician, he informed us that most babies who cannot tollerate regular formula, also cannot tollerate soy based formulas. So I find... review »

my baby was bf for the first 6 mo. she has eczema and is allergic to eggs. she was then introduced to formula. similac advanced was the only one she would take...we tried both good start and enfamil. they both taste absolutely gross (i tried before giving her) we slowly integrated formula into her diet. she was half half towards the end of her 6mo. for the past 2 weeks, of her 5-6 meals, only one was breast milk. she became irritable, cranky, and would always grunt and pout. she was so unhappy and it made my husband and i very sad. i thought she was just teething or going through a phase. she was...

I can honestly say, Similac Advanced Soy works wonders. I'm a mom of one beautiful, healthy 8 month old girl. But 7 months ago, I won't be able to say that. My daughter was a preemie and she wouldn't latch on so I pumped for 3 1/2 months until I wasn't able to do it anymore. I consulted with my doctor about which formula is best. We tried several different kinds of formula, even ones designed specifically for preemies. Needless to say, the day we found this, I was so happy. My daughter was able to keep her food down, and have regular bowel movements.
Advanced Soy is the formula out there.

I have two beautiful children. When my daughter was born in 2004 i decided it would be best if i did not breast feed due to the fact that i smoked. I went for the Enfamil lipil with iron and she did great with it. Well when i got pregnant with my second child in 2007 i decided that i was again going to bottle feed him aswell. Well when my son was born in August of 2008 they gave him the same formula in the hospital. Well he started to spit up really bad so they changed his formula to the Isomil,or soy formula, thinking that he was lactose intolerant. Well he did pretty good with it for the first...

Gone are the days of only a few choices of baby formula, there are so many choices out there for any and all of our babies needs.  After giving birth to my oldest child, I thought that breastfeeding was the best choice.  Unfortunately, I was unable to successfully breastfeed my child and had to make a hard choice...What baby formula is best for me and my baby?  What formula would work just as well as breastmilk? I was also concerned because I am lactose intolerant and really wanted a formula that wasn't made from cow's milk. In 1993, even though there were several different brands, nothing...

When our baby was born i had planned to breastfeed from the start but some complications had arisen and breastmilk was still there, yet limited. So the hospital recommended supplementing with formula, preferably similac's formula. A few months later our son had some serious colic going on so we decided to switch to the Simila Isomil Advance formula. Seeing as how Similac is what the hospital recommends and is what they gave out when our baby was born, that gave me a real good reason to trust this formula brand from the start. But along with time and experience, using the Similac Isomil Advance...

As a new Mom all I wanted to do was breastfeed.  I went to classes, read all the books and bought all the supplies I would need to do it "right".  Unfortunately my son had others plans when he came into the world 1 week late and required a 10 day stay in the NICU.  My breastfeeding was put on standby and luckily the nurses in the NICU were able to feed him Similac Isomil Soy Formula when I was unable to feed him in the NICU.  This formula was amazing.  They tried him on another type of formula first, but switched him to Soy because it is better for babies with fussiness and gas.  My sons...

When I had my son 2 years ago i used Isomil advance formula.  he did great with this formula and he didnt spit up as much as other babies i know that are on regular formula.  he wasnt as fussy either.  it was very easy for him to transistion to milk when he was a year old.  i had my daughter 10 months ago and she is on Isomil Advance formua.  she isnt as fussy either.  i have found out that this formula is easier on babies stomachs than the milk based formula.  i have had great success with this formula with both of my kids.  i would recommend this formula to people that have babies that...
