Not Worth More

3

In our experience, soy formula is not healthier or better for a baby than regular formula unless the child is lactose intolerant or has other problems with milk and milk-based products. Unless the child needs an alternative to milk, then this soy formula is not worth more money. Easily Digested Our babies have never had any problems digesting this formula, but it also does not seem any easier than other regular formulas. Ease of Preparation This formula only requires mixing powder with water in a bottle, which is relatively simple. One small downside is that the formula is extremely sticky, so it's easy to have a little bit of formula stick to the top of the bottle when pouring into the bottle. Once that happens, the stuck formula will not mix with the rest. One very positive thing about this particular container is the clip in the lid that holds the scoop. It keeps the scoop from getting buried in shipment.

I just started using this kind because I can't find lactose free toddler formula anywhere! So far it seems to be working fine. When I compared the lactose free infant formula to this toddler formula there is not much difference besides a few less vitamins and of course the fact that is made from soy. The only bad thing that I have noticed that my child seems to have a harder time going to the bathroom. I don't know if it is just because I switched or because of the soy itself. It kind of has a funny smell to it but it does not foam up like the lactose free kind always did. It seems like it is hard to dissovle in water too unless it is pretty warm, but then you have to wait for it to cool before you can use it. Well I would say it's a good product and if there was a lactose free toddler formula I would use it, but for now this is fine. Also I do like the fact that the scoop is located inside the lid and not shoved way down into the formula.

this is the best of both world, the powder is lighter for the stomach and causes less gas than the ready to feed, the cost of buying this this is great and the scoop in the lid is GREAT no more digging it out

Great taste for Formula

My son was not able to handle milk based formula.  We had to select the soy based product and he found this soy product to be his favorite.  The cost of formula is really up there, but I would recommend this as an option for anyone that needs an alternative to milk based formula.

Similac Soy Go and Grow - Outstanding!

5

I am writing a review for the Similac Go and Grow Soy Formula for older babies to 24 months. This product ended up being an awesome product for my 22 month old twin that developed a milk allergy at 20 months. She started getting very ill and cried all the time and had slight fevers. I could not figure out what was wrong with her, even after having 5 other kids. I took her to the pediatrician and he diagnosed her immediately. I was in shock that it was something so simple. I was thinking to my self, I cannot believe I ahve to go back to baby formula after I already had my twins on regular milk for months now. Only the one twin had to have this, though. The price is reasonable and the product had her feeling 100% better in a few hours. I would highly recommend this product to any mother. It is overall cheaper than the soy milk, too. This formula only comes in one size, that I have ever seen, but it is worth it.

Similac has the easiest containers to use

Yes I am Pro-Breastfeeding and I do breastfeed my twins but they were 8 weeks preemie and need extra calories. Plus I like knowing that if I have to be gone from one or both of them they will have a milk bottle and sucking comfort. They go into the hospital for lung problems alot, usually 1 at a time, and I can not be in 2 places at once. That said. I really like Similac's Go & Grow soy -based formula. The package itself is awesome. I used Enfamil's Nutramigen before this and that packaging was a pain and difficult to get all the powder out. Not the case with Similac's new packaging. Not having to dig for the scoop is THE best part by far! It is right there in the lid right when you open it. The foil seal is a bit of a pain. I have never had one open easily or without tearing. The formula itself is great. Even though it is soy it does not clump up and mixes really smoothly. Even after it has sat for a bit I have not had any separation problems. My babies did not have any problem switching over, no rejecting because of flavor or texture. We love it

Perfect for my 9 month-old!

I love that this product doesn't make my baby break out in a rash. From birth to 9 months, we used Similac - soy based (the red one) and I was so happy to find that the Similac Go and Grow - soy based - doesn't cause any of the negative repercussions that other formulas did. It's so nice that there is consistancy between the regular similac soy based formula and the Go and Grow variety! Great product for my sensitive baby!
