Similac Alimentum Hypoallergenic Formula — 

My son was diagnosed with GERD and they put him on this formula.  I must say that it done somewhat ok for about a month or so and now we are right back to the spitting up routine again.  For the cost of $30.00 a small can I think he done just as well on the regular similac formula.

I don't think that the formula is designed to stop the spitting up of the GERD I think the formula was recommended to hrlp with the acid and the burning sensation that the GERD causes.
