I had my son back in '73 and the similac gave him a real bad belly ache. Stools were like a mouse had left them and it took the doctor few weeks to figure it out. My baby used Similac formula the day he was born up to his first birthday or so. He used Similac Advance with Iron along with breast milk. This is a great product because its easy to digest, stays in his tummy and my baby has less gas (sometimes almost none at all). I love the ready to drink formula because its convinient when travelling or even going to the mall. The price is a little high, but i know it worked for my baby. Similac with Iron works great for on the go moms! No measuring, no adding water, no buying sterile water, no additional iron supplements... You have everything all in one bottle! similac advanced meets the needs of my baby. it has iron in it and also dha and ara. i can't breastfeed my baby so similac comes close. you use 1 scoop of formula per every two ounces of water. similac comes in powder and ready to use bottles. i used different brands with my older children and see the difference that similac makes. it is about the same price as other brands . it is very hard to find coupons for similac. i am always getting coupons on other brands but not similac. —… read full review »

I used this formula for both of my little ones. Belive me, we went through quite a lot of it. Both of my kids always had adequate growth and iron levels at all of their well-baby checkups. You can often find the big cans on sale at Target, Walmart or KMart, and my Mom often found them at Sams for cheaper. I love this formula. I just had a baby on August 18 and the hospital put him on this formula and it is wonderful. This product has never given me any problems. I've used Enfimil with my first Daughter and it gave her gas pains all the time. As soon as i switched her to Similac she was fine.
