Similac Advance Baby Formula —

We all know that "breast milk is best"  but I found that there were one or two formulas (I have 4 children) that worked well with each of my children.  One of those formula's of choice is Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron, a powdered product that contains DHA and ARA- special ingredients that are also found in breast milk, and important for the growth and intellect of your baby.

Fast Facts about Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron

This formula is available in ready to feed, concentrated and powdered formula.  I normally purchased the canister/powdered version.

My Viewpoint:  Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron is easy to use and easy to prepare.  Just add nursery water or I used a Brita water filter pitcher.  Make sure the water is room temperature or warmer or the powder will clump and be difficult to break up. Also be sure to push out the bubbles that occur when shaking the bottle using this powdered based baby formula.

I began using a Similac formula over 20 years ago with my oldest and was thrilled to find a new and improved variation with DHA and ARA.   Other formula's sort of smell funny when you open the canister, but Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron actually does smell like a powdered milk, well at least more than other formula's.  And you can be sure it smells worse as baby spit up.  Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron was been easy for my baby to digest and I didn't have a great deal of gassy problems.  I also like the powdered formula because it is easy for travel, just drop some into a bottle and purchase a water bottle of spring water while you are out.  You don't have to worry about using, storing or wasting formula, you make and use what you need.

Remember though, that Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron is WITH IRON.  For some infants the amount of iron in this product can be too much, causing painful constipation, or just not the diaper's that you are used to.

It's also easy to find this formula just about anywhere.  So wherever you go you can run into a grocery or drug store and pick up extras.

Overall, it mixes well, travels great, the baby loved it and Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron has easy to use portions and measurements making it a little easier to afford this expensive baby formula since less is wasted.

If you do decide to try it or use it, be sure to sign up for the free samples online (they send you a box) as well as coupons.  Also many pediatricians will be able to give you free samples of this product that they carry in the office.
