I live with a two month old infant and since she was brought home from the hospital, my family has been using the same formula for the baby. The Similac Advance Infant Formula is a great product. It has DHA and ARA which are nutrients found in breast milk and it has added iron to help with development. The formula is in powder form and all you have to do is add one scoop of formula to 2 ounces of water. We use bottled water, but you could use tap water as well. We have two other children living in the house who have not been on formula for quite some time, so we have used other types of formula and other brands of formula. While the liquid formula is the most convenient, this is not very cost efficient. It's much easier to just mix up the bottles needed for the day and store them in the refrigerator and then heat them up throughout the day as needed. The other brands of powdered formula that we have used were just as convenient, but most were more expensive than the Similac Advance so it was really to our benefit and the baby's that we use the brand and type of formula that we are currently buying. As any parent knows, a baby goes through a LOT of formula/breast milk during the first critical year of development, so any added nutrient to formula that helps in this development is greatly appreciated and eases the mind of worrisome parents. I do hope that this review helps some parents out there wondering about this product or other brands of this type of product.
