my baby is constipated after 2days of use

Similac Advance Baby Formula — 

              similac advance was given to me in the hospital because i decided to breast and bottle feed my newborn however we used the early shield formula along with breast feeding and it was fine. Now that the sample ran out i went out and purchase similac advance. The thing is I'm still breast feeding and for 2days my 3wk old baby has not have a bowel movement. I was getting 2-5 bowel movements per day so now i am very concerned. My first child was exclusively breast fed so we didnt have these issues she's 6yrs old now and we never experienced gas,fussiness or constipation and now I am dealing with this issue and my newborn and its definetly caused by the similac advance so we are going to switch to ''good start'', and let everyone know what happens next.

Actually it is because of the high levels of iron in the Similac Advance -- Good Start as well as many others "full service" infant formulas may have the same problem. Suggestion - just give the nurse at the pediatricians office a quick call and ask for another recommendation. Enfamil is more expensive but can be a little more gentle on stomach and they should have a sample to give you at the office.
