Silpat Baking Mat —
Silpat baking mats allows you to bake effortlessly. You don't have to worry about your baked goods sticking and cleanup is so quick. Saves me money also since I'm not using as much foil to line my pans. With foil, you use it once or twice and then it goes in the garbage. With the Silpat baking mats, you can use them over and over again. With careful cleaning and storage, these mats last a long time. I originally stored them flat but found that the manufacturer recommends you store them rolled up. I recommend Silpat baking mats over the silicon baking mats. The silicon baking mats tend to feel oily or greasy after the first few uses. Both types of baking mats will discolor with use but the Silpat baking mats seem to clean easier.Last edited on Nov 25, 2008
