Hosted by Rachel Coleman, the co-creator, and featuring her daughter Leah who is Deaf and nephew Alex who is Hearing, Signing Time teaches American Sign Language (ASL) in a fun and interact way. Signing Time combines orginal music, animation, and live-action footage to demonstrate and illustrate everyday signs like "milk", "want", "mom", "dad", "help" and more. Signing Time promotes early communication through signing, fewer tantrums since children can use a sign to express their needs, incourages reading through the words being shown as they are taught, and teaches a second language while be entertaining. There are 13 original Signing Time Volumes, 2 Baby Signing Time Volumes, 2 Practice Time Volumes, 3 Board Books, 4 sets of Flash Cards, 3 Volumes of Signing Time Series Two and 4 more being released for the Holidays. Signing Time is the best children's program around. It makes a great gift for new parents, children of all ages and abilities, grandparents, teachers and anyone who is interested in American Signing Language.
