Signature Gourmet Programmable 12-cup Drip Coffee Maker —

Last week my coffee maker blew a fuse and died, I like to drink coffee in the morning and have a cup of two when I get home from work, so I needed to buy a new one. This was inexpensive, but it was/ is programmable, so I bought it. I read through the instructions to clean it for first time use, but it has a strange odor that I can't seem to get rid of.

I have cleaned it twice more using a mixture of water and baking soda but to no avail..I will use it til I can afford to buy one of higher quality.

the glass on the decanters are paper thin i have broken 3 trying to clean them ever so carefully. i have given up on this product.

I just took over a used Signature Gourmet Coffe Maker and don't know how to program it .... I can't seem to figure out how to set the timer ..... I know .... it should be simple right? Nothing I press will advance the clock.
