Siemens Speed Stream 5100 Review

This Speed Stream 5100 modem was the perfect buy when I switched over to new DSL service. Thought I was going to be forced to buy from my provider but decided to get a list of the modems I could use efficiently with their service. So I searched the local used computer shops and got this one in new condition for a "dollar". Yes one dollar and it is in new condition. The catch was it had no power adapter. So again I searched and got a universal one for fifteen dollars. If I wouldn't of saved so much on buying the modem itself, I would of shopped around. But fifteen dollars is still cheap for an adapter.

 Most modem/router makers have a website so you can all the details about your modem. Plus get the software/drivers you need for it to work with your pc. In fact most of your internet service providers have the software. That's why I specifically looked for a modem that was user friendly with my dsl service.

 You can't go wrong with Siemens. Highly recommended.
