SideStep —
SIdeStep.com is a travel search web site that gathers real time travel itineraries from thousands of different sites. When you find a fare that you like, you get taken directly to the supplier to finish your booking (Unless it's from one of the aggregator sites SideStep has a partnership with). This avoids booking fees and allows you to use/accumulate any bonus program points (Such as frequent flyer miles). Through SideStep you can book Airfare, Hotel, Car Rental, Cruises, Vacation Packages, and even Private Jets. In addition to booking you can do some of your vacation research with its many travel guides and hotel reviews. Some Hotels even include virtual tours! Since discovering this web site well over a year ago, I have always started my travel planning here. It doesn't hurt to shop around, but I feel SideStep does a lot of the shopping around for you. It's fairly comprehensive, and for the most part unbiased in its results. The SmartSort feature is very handy in narrowing down your itinerary.
