Sicko —
While I would have eventually gotten around to watching this film on my own, I was recently able to watch it in my Sociology class at Boise State University. Some of the things in this film make me honestly feel badly to be an American. I do not like the fact that we have let our government dictate us to the point that they get to decide that we as a country do not need a socialized medical system when so many Americans are suffering due to lack of health care. I had even more of an impact because Mr. Moore was not telling stories about people with no healthcare but about people who had worked very hard to pay for thier insurance benefits and then been denied the care that they needed simply because the health care industry is more concerned about its bottom line then the people that it should be taking care of.
