I have had several dogs through the years and would have never have thought twice about getting a Siberian Husky until I was urged to by a boyfriend.  I have to say that it is by far the best breed.  Potty training was a snap.  She caught on right away.  She doesn't bark, but more talks.  I've had many dogs that sit and bark and bark, but my dog does not do that.  She is affectionate, loving, loyal.    They love to be outside.  I live in ND where the temps often get down into -15.  I does not bother her.  In the summer, I have a hard plastic baby pool in the yard for her and when she... read full review »

I had a siberian husky named Bear, He was such a good dog. These dogs are very obedient and very cute. Mine was black and white with the prettiest blue eyes anyone could have ever seen. They are very well behaved and get very attached to their owners. They are also very playful.

They are hyper during their younger years, but what dog isn't? One downside is that they're prone to Leukemia. We had to put poor Bear down because he had the disease. It was so sad because he was such a good dog. Siberian Huskies are the type of dog that if you're out walking it, everyone wants to stop and pet them just...

I never would have thought of owning a Siberian Husky before we got ours (a gift from a friend whose brother could no longer care for her). I am so happy that we have her now and am considering getting her a friend!

The Siberian Husky is a very active dog, which is great for us. Remember, they were bred as workers, so active, active, active. So this is not a good dog for someone who is not home much or cannot find a lot of time to spen with their animal. This dog NEEDS your attention and time, even more than most. Also, just an FYI....watch out if you have other animals, like rabbits, as pets....

My wife has always wanted a Siberian Husky, so for her birthday this year I surprised her with a trip to pick out a puppy.

We brought the puppy home and kept her in the house for a few days. Straight out of the gate the dog (Gypsy) was house trained. In fact in the 4 days she lived in the house she only had one accident.

Now she is an outside dog and only around 5 months old. We were surprised at how big she got so quickly but otherwise she has been a joy to have around.

The only issues we have had with the breed so far is that she loves to dig. Large deep holes in the yard. She also has...

I am a very proud owner of a siberian huskey and his name is Zibby. Zibby is a 2 year old red color with bi-eyes and is full of love and energy. I have alwyas wanted to own a huskey, as a kid watching movies and seeing them talk and just there prace in walking always attracted them to me. Owning a huskey is not the easiest task at hand they need alot of attention, as well as alot of room to run. Zibby is yard broken and is a well mannered dog. Through time he has became a mans best friend hands down. I always herd that they were hard to train and hand to brake from habits but i didnt find it hard... read full review »

well now i have one of there guys. i have a 8yr old male husky and his name is glachere. he is a black and silver husky with white eyes. his attitude has always been layed back and lover boy. i wouldnt trade this dog for anything. i kept him inside with me until he was a year old. i had to keep the air conditioner on all the time to keep him cool. i remember being under many blankets with the air on high and he would be on his back enjoying it. i now have him outside. i have a 3yr old daughter and she loves to go to his cage and pet him. all he wants to do is lick and sniff. he loves to be scratched... read full review »

Our Husky is a great family dog who is full of energy and love. Very energetic, loves to talk to you in Chubaka talk, from Star Wars, and wants to be treated like a princess.  They do shed a ton...  I call it "fluffing clumps of fur"...  great with other dogs, a great walker. They do like to run so a leash and or gates closed is a must when outside.  Can be picky eaters.  All around a great dog!

these are beautiful dogs but not for someone who already has or plans to get a smallers animal.  My friends tried adoptig one and it ended up killing thier cat.  other people have indicated the same thing to me regarding this breed.  another friend found some abandoned puppies and rehomed them.  Every dog from that litter killed smaller animals.
