Shutterfly's Gifts

Shutterfly is a website where you can upload/store digital pictures.  You can have pictures printed in various sizes or printed on gifts.  I have used Shutterfly many times for getting pictures printed and was happy with the service.  I decided to check out the gift section since I had a couple of Grandmas that I would like to have a calendar made for (previous years, I had done this on my own computer).

What I liked about Shutterfly's Calendars was that there were a variety of layouts to choose from from month-to-month.  You can have one large picture up to a collage of pictures. I liked having the option and used a few different layouts.  It was very easy to manage the pictures and layouts and since I already had the pictures I wanted to use uploaded to Shutterfly's website, I was a step ahead!  The best feature about Shutterfly's calendars are that you can personalize them!  You can add captions and have birth-dates, anniversaries and special events printed in the calendar ( I love that feature!).  My calendar's were shipped quickly via UPS in a secure box.

What I didn't like about Shutterfly's Calendar printing  is the wire binding that holds the calendar together.  It's flimsy and cheap. For $19.99 + shipping per calendar, I expected better quality.  The pages fall out easily and find myself having to find a "cure" for the problem.

When it's all said and done, using Shutterfly to have my calendar's made was alot easier and faster than if I had done it on my own computer.  I'm happy with the quality of the pictures on the calendar.  In my opinion, the good definitely outweigh the bad.

I've made calendars at home, too. Lots of work. Shutterfly sounds like an interesting alternative. Thanks.

We used Shutterfly to have several albums of pictures put into a book format, and ended up very happy with the results. I am sorry to hear that your calendar didn't end up quite as fulfilling. Great review on what the site has to offer. :)

That sounds like an interesting gift idea. I use photobucket, but I bet they do similar stuff. Thanks!

Sounds like a great idea, I wish I had thought of that earlier.
