I recently  used Shutterfly for my holiday cards and a few holiday presents. I ordered a memory book,  mouse pads and a calendar.

I had mixed results with my Shutterfly experience. The holiday cards were cheap quality and there were streaks all across my cards. The envelopes were also all scrunched up and looked like they needed to be thrown away (the packaging they sent the cards in was not very secure so the cards got crushed in the mail) I have to admit, I was too embarassed to send most of them out, so I only sent out to people that I had to. I emailed Shutterfly to let them know and they gave me a credit for all of my cards. But, it was too late to get my holiday cards reprinted, so I was forced to send Valentine's Day cards instead.

As for the mousepads, those stunk too! The images were grainy and they looked cheap. To add insult to injury, they guaranteed arrival by December 24th and I of course got them on the 26th. Bummer! I called customer service and they credited me the shipping cost.

The good news is that Shutterfly is great about processing credits. However, I fear that is because it happens so often. :(

The Shutterfly photo album and calendar, however, were a totally different story. Those came out looking professional and were of high quality. And, best of all, they were also CHEAP! So, I was very pleased with my experience on those products.

Bottom line with Shutterfly, it is a mixed bag. They tend to be among the cheaper providers, but you get what you pay for. Sometimes the photo products are great and sometimes they are terrible.... I would stick to the calendars and albums!

I guess the photo album and calender are a must, and the cards and mousepads are a bust.

I use them when I can get something free. I have seen there free website... our kindergarten teacher used it for the kids... and it was simple and just what we needed as parents.

Thanks Jolie, Now I know why they are always sending offer after offer. I all most gave it once to what after awhile seems like begging.
Thanks again for the heads up!

BTW Enjoy those little ones while you can they grow so fast. It seems like just yesterday mine were babies now I have 3 college graduates, a computer programmer,Michael, a Chemical Engineer DeAnna, an Information Science Specialist Misty and 2 more in college Lacey 4th year Marketing and my Baby Hollie just finished her 1st year and is studying to be a Veternarian.
There were so many times I wish I could Freeze Frame my Family because they were growing so fast and things were so perfect. I am proud of them though, they all turned out to be good kids, no vices, just ambition and dreams. I thank God everyday for them but miss them so much. Being an empy nester is no fun and I don't think anyone plans on making me a Grandma for quite a while if ever. 8( Oh well just so they are happy.
Good Luck with yours and like I said enjoy them everyday, you'll never regret it believe me.

It's so good to have a heads-up. So far I've had good luck with Snapfish. Your review reminds me of my good fortune so far. Hope it lasts and that you find something better.
