Most HelpfulI know a good paint brush and steady hand is the key to gettting edges. Tape helps too. But, that's a pain to put up and takes a good amount of time.
I saw the Shur-Line Time & Touch-Up Roller right there at the paint area and thought it sounded like a good idea. The note on the package about "making painting easier" helped sell me. It was also cheap - under $2.
This a mini-roller and disposable.
It will cover some tight spots where you can't get a full size roller. But, you could use a brush.
The picture on the pack shows this right up against the molding edge. It's purple paint with the facings...
review »I have only been painting for a few years. I've only had my own house for 7 years, so before everything was white, white, white! Now it's color wherever I can!
This rolling paint system works great! EAsy to use, leaves a smooth finish and usually covers in one coat if you prime your walls first. If you are covering a darker color or want to paint a darker color you may have to put several coats on. A good tip: for jobs that need more than one coat, tint your primer and you can often save time money and a coat of paint.
If you can imagine colors on your walls, this will help you realize...
review »My husband purchased this product for me along with some oil based primer to paint an detailed outside door. It was a decent price and worked very well for what I was using it for. I don't like cleaning out brushes or rollers when I use oil base paints so this was perfect. When I was finished priming I simply tossed it away.
