the home painter, not a happy painter, hate to do edges
I know a good paint brush and steady hand is the key to gettting edges. Tape helps too. But, that's a pain to put up and takes a good amount of time. — I saw the Shur-Line Time & Touch-Up Roller right there at the paint area and thought it sounded like a good idea. The note on the package about "making painting easier" helped sell me. It was also cheap - under $2. — This a mini-roller and disposable. — It will cover some tight spots where you can't get a full size roller. But, you could use a brush. — The picture on the pack shows this right up against the molding…

I've used this a few times - It works well if you're just touching something up , but if you need to do a big area then it doesn't come out too good. - The roller is very thin and cheap so it doesn't hold much paint and you wind up spreading it out to a really thin layer of paint on the wall .. So you have to do it again and again.…

the home painter
I have only been painting for a few years. I've only had my own house for 7 years, so before everything was white, white, white! Now it's color wherever I can! — This rolling paint system works great! EAsy to use, leaves a smooth finish and usually covers in one coat if you prime your walls first. If you are covering a darker color or want to paint a darker color you may have to put several coats on. A good tip: for jobs that need more than one coat, tint your primer and you can often save time money and a coat of paint. — If you can imagine…

hate to do edges, Homeowner, a Home Depot shopper, not a happy painter
This item is fine if you are in an area without tight areas. When rolling and applying pressure ANY excess paint squishes out and messes your edges. It is nice to do small areas just not edging due to it bing so soft and flexible. I did however like that it was re useable and easy to wash. This item does give a nice flat and even fihish to your area. I was doing verticle striped in a room and used a regular roller to apply the first coat then used this item to put the second and nioce smooth last…

a Home Depot shopper, a do-it-yourselfer, handy around the house, conscious of quality & cost, detail oriented, a person who enjoys quality, $$$ saver
This little roller is a must have in my painting supply box. I like a nice even texture on my walls, and never liked the way a plain brush handled tight spots. Not only does this tool eliminate most of those brush stroked areas, it's also great for touch ups between repainting and for repainting after drywall repairs. I've been able to clean and re-use the roller many times between replacements. I highly recommend this…

This was not my favorite at all in fact I took it back to the store I bought it from and told them it did not work right and caused alot of extra work for me. Too much paint leaks through andcauses an uneven paint line,so then you have to clean it off anyway. It was easier to just do it by hand and then the line was straighter and there was less mess too, at least for…

It does a pretty horrible job on edges and corners. Great for touch ups or thin sections of wall i.e. between a door frame and wall corner (if the space is wider than 3.5 inches). If you need an edging roller, this is definately NOT what you want to buy unless the adjoining surface area is going to be the same color as it will splooge over to the other…

a do-it-yourselfer, handy around the house, the home painter, detail oriented, Homeowner
My husband purchased this product for me along with some oil based primer to paint an detailed outside door. It was a decent price and worked very well for what I was using it for. I don't like cleaning out brushes or rollers when I use oil base paints so this was perfect. When I was finished priming I simply tossed it away. —…

This is a great product, it saves you time and helps the paint to not smudge the edges from the roller you would use on the wall. a regular brush does not do this well. they are low cost and effective. your children can use this and not make mistakes. you can paint in small…

I have used this little roller many times and think it is great, it gets the spots that a bigger roller can't. It is easy to clean and reuse…
