Shrek Review

Shrek is no doubt a fun film, but it really should have had a PG-13 rating. I have a problem when a movie is full of penis and sex jokes and aimed at kids. I actually have a hard time watching it because I keep thinking, "Wow, that was funny! But how on earth could they market this as a movie for kids?" Our standards are so low now, and this film reminds me of that. Although the ending sort of surprised me, I still don't like how Donkey calls her ugly when he sees her like that. Not the kind of message I would want sent to my kids. It's one thing when the villain or people we aren't really supposed to like say mean things, but the message is totally different when a "good guy" says them.
